At the end of the day we're all pilots and we do the same job.... look at the retirements.... look at the lifters... around 3,000 liters at all the regionals. Retirements that exceed that number by many. Just wait till first year pay meets mainline. Delta is smart enough to already integrate procedures. Look at your checklist then go jumpseat on mainline. Delta is delta they're a business and they already know what is about to happen. They're already making the process seamless. Half the new hires maybe more wear the hat "not me till we get something for it". Delta is keeping their regional because they're running a business and keeping the cost low as long as possible. Before long they're gonna mail us a hat a badge and a surface pro. Remember this post and tell me when I'm wrong.

That's complete nonsense! and you must be new! My seniority would be in AA class had I chose a different regional. Fact! Go spew your BS elsewhere

For anyone on the fence about the worthlessness of the DGI, I just want to point out a few things.
The DGI is non contractual and can be cancelled at any time. Worse than that, though, is the language of the simple 2 page .pdf that anyone can view. I'm going to paraphrase so that it is easy to understand, but if you think I'm exaggerating just google "EDV DGI".
Number of DGI Interviews
a. Delta can interview as few as 12 DGIs/month.
ii. DGIs will consume no more than 30% of Delta interview opportunities.
iii. The DGI can be changed at the New Year, any year (keep in mind the day doesn't matter; they can cancel it any time).
iv. Endeavor can further limit the DGI to not exceed 20% of their captain list in any given 12 month cycle.
All of that is in the not-even-fine print. Remember: that's in a 2 page brochure bragging about it.
If you aren't so good at math, the big one is 12/month. That's 144/year. That means that there are already around 3.5 years of interviews lined up at a minimum. AFTER you make captain for 2 years.
How people can defend the DGI is absolutely BANANAS.
I wish the best for everyone here. I came for the money, the QoL, the money, and the money. I'm happy here, but the DGI is absolute garbage. I didn't even factor it into my decision to come here, and I'd recommend you don't, either.

On a side note.
I have spoken to a few junior FOs and some Captains recently about our Jump seat priority within Endeavor pilots. Some think it's based on Seniority, but pass the word around it is not. It's first come first serve! Ex: the most junior FO at Endeavor shows up at gate and list for the jump seat (First come first serve within priority category ) and the most senior CA at Endeavor shows up afterwards and insist he can bump the junior guy on the jump seat! Not true! The FO who got there first gets it. Please people, some have been stranded because someone doesn't know our policy within Endeavor!! Don't be that person.
Thanks for listening and now back to your regular scheduled program!!

And to add to that at the time of your interview you must meet the current minimum requirements buy Delta. So if you don't have a degree currently you cannot interview with Delta. But at an American WO you can flow without a degree.
My hope is that the DGI is improved over this year but for now you must take it for how it is written.
