Well scheduling is stupid, but I'm generally happy here. Pilots that haven't been here too long and actively trying to leave for career progression are happy. Pilots that have been here for years and can't get out are bitter. Probably a reason as to why they haven't been able to leave. In addition to that, all of the folks I know that are "lifers" are fairly happy too.

I did that too!! Worked for me. Had a tough choice in the end between EDV and PDT. picked PDT for a particular to me reason. Both are great choices today!

If you don't mind CDOs, a CNO line is a good deal. Your last day of reserve you're unuseable, and can get released after the last flight departs the day before.

Of all the regional forums on APC, I think EDV has the least amount of negativity and BS. Thought that before I came to work here, still think it.
Are there negative aspects to EDV? Of course. But I think it's a great place to work. I love my job, love the fact that I am getting paid to not work. It's great!
ATP-CTP has been answered for T28 Driver. As for commuting from HSV, XJT and DL are currently the only two flying it to ATL at least as far out as August. If XJT drops it and EDV picks it up, commuting on EDV metal will be a breeze.

Appreciate the responses. I've been chatting with people from all of the regionals about the pluses and minuses. With my HSV limitation, EDV seems like a great place to be if I can get an offer. Fingers crossed.

Airmen and Airwomen of EDV,
If there are any of you who have yet to incinerate, confetti, lawn mow, leaf blow, origami, bbq, paper airplane, or otherwise destroy your paper charts, I am trying to gather materials for an aviation art project and would appreciate any chart donations that you no longer desire to have.. if you are feeling charitable you can drop them at the DTW gate mx office under c21.. attn. Ray... thanks.
