Anyone have an up to date estimate on how long a new hire will sit reserve? Schedules typically bid immediately after getting off reserve?
Chances of new hits getting JFK or LGA base?

Ok so we can give the facts when someone makes a horsesh!t claim and that makes us crybabies? What do you know about our lives? Actually my life revolves around my family, and that's all that matters.

So you can take your sad comment and ****.

I'm not sure about the NY bases, however MSP 200 is running about 5 months class date to line (roughly 3 total months of reserve). Time on reserve will start to decrease as a wave of new 200 pilots add to the bid list.

If you're check ride is before the 10th of the month (or thereabouts) you will be able to bid immediately for the next month.

Lastly, seems as if NY flying has gone senior in class. Seniority in class is oldest to youngest. If you didn't get it right away, you should get NY very quickly.

[QUOTE=vilcas;2027751]Guys in DTW 900 CA with under 11 years longevity have 17 days off on Mock. For those unfamiliar with mock it's a guess at what line you might be awarded in schedule generator. For those considering Endeavor things are changing fast and the direction is good. What you find today you will not find 6 months from now, but baring major catastrophe it will be a lot better. We are talking about little to no reserve with upgrade times moving quickly in the direction everyone wants. There are already a decent number of senior FO who are going to bypass upgrade just waiting for class at Delta.[/QUOTE

INCORRECT....Plenty of 11- 13 year CA's on reserve on mock 1 Detoilet bid. There ya go, now your post is correct.

Great news, but will they be able to hire 600 people this year? I am skeptical, we still have some of the worst bases in the industry, the last airline in the US without EFB's, upgrade is 8 years RIGHT NOW, no commuter hotels, a punitive commuter policy, unreliable movement to Delta and we still have major quality of life issues with PBS and reserve abuse. It is far from being all roses, a lot more could be done and hasn't - that to me is a sign that this might just be more talk. Nothing creative at all in this deal that shows any seriousness in trying to really get people in the door.

Yeah, like I posted previously, I don't see the current TA being as persuasive for on the fence newbies as I'd guessed it would have been. I suppose that is why the language for increasing the training bonus up to 10k is in there. But there we have it, the company is putting out some plane and hiring numbers. I do think the company has the ability to get close to those figures, and 2016 hasn't even begun, so who knows what will transpire in the next 12 months....just my opinion.

Again, I'm glad to see first year FOs finally making a livable wage. Long overdue.

I'm hoping that when people come to research different airlines that they can at least get a fair representation of what it is like to work here. Yes, the majority of the pilot population here has gotten hosed and abused over the last ten years. That being said, as a new hire, Endeavor has been an amazing opportunity for me so far. I live in "one of those crappy" bases, got a line in 6 weeks, and will top out over $50,000 my first year at a regional. I've already used my travel benefits to go to London, visit my parents in Phoenix a couple times, flown my parents to see me, and visited friends all across the country. Are there things to improve, of course. 9E is still a regional. If you have the proper expectations, this place has been great to work at so far. I live comfortably within my means and have had no complaints so far. Just my .02 as a newbie.

All good points, overall Endeavor is probably not a bad place to work compared to the rest of this segment of the industry but that misses the main point - in a very limited supply of pilots will they be able to actually hire a net positive of pilots next year? I think it will be very difficult - for the reasons I stated above. If they were serious about really attracting talent this latest TA had the potential to open up the flood gates but it missed the mark. How are small staffing changes and $3000 going to allow them to bring 30 planes out from the desert? 2015 will be close to a net loss of pilots despite recruiting going at full speed. Maybe there are more pilots out there than I realize willing to commute to NY and DTW for a regional but I am skeptical. I'll know they are serious if they re-engage for negotiations before March, a 30K bonus would also reveal they are getting serious.

I agree, I'm skeptical of the changes will get us 600 new hires next year. But if upgrade time drops, we grow, and you can make over $50k first year, that might attract enough people. I think the easy answer is a flow to Delta, but Delta has made it painfully clear they do not want that. Time will only tell. Hopefully this TA is just a baby step in the right direction.
