And the rates already did go down from well over $100/hr to $89. Put in your time and then you can decide to stay or go and what type of financial implications that has on your family.

Thanks, I made $22K in 2014 at AWAC and it nearly financially ruins me and forced me to leave 121 flying.... so happy to be coming back!

It has gone down in two ways. Firstly they are capped and inflation gets to start making gains on them. Secondly (as said above) the pay on the top was slashed, and the senior guys became more entrenched. I'd have to compare SLI from years ago vs now, but sans retirements you're getting dickall movement off the top.

For AQP differences it is now 2 1/2 days of ground with an EASY closed book test. 2 FTDs and 2 SIMs. Then you need 6 legs of OE. Nice and easy.

This is a big part of the reason I came here vs one of the AAWOs. Culture. Leadership. Professionalism. Met one of the VPs in the elevator this morning. Took the time to ask me how training was going, and was genuinely interested in my story. Every day, this place exceeds my expectations.

This is the FAILURE at ALPA and mainlines doorstep. Not the so called lifers. Why hire people outside that paid no ALPA dues allowed to start in front of regionals that have? Think how many would still be here if all hiring came from regionals into mainline. Have better and fair merger policy during buyouts. Should not be so different from mainlines in the same union. Mainline has ample time to know about a company and if it's "a good fit." Don't buy a company if you don't like it.

A guy hired 6 years ago... He's already a captain and if he wanted to move on to Delta has about a 70% chance of that having happened (The SSP acceptance was way over 50%.. the numbers are published it was about 70% acceptance rate per pilot participating after the second interview) If this pilot is bidding for over 80 hrs credit he is earning 95K this year, plus per diem, plus performance bonus. This guy is in the 89th income percentile of the US.
As pilots we are blessed. The company is doing us well and treating us well for an entry level airline job. The pilots annual income here tops out at $112,000 per year. The top has also caught up at Endeavor. Guys complaining need to open their eyes, they are facing first world problems.
