I've heard from several people here at 9E that we were actively pursuing better travel benefits. What that means or to what extent I've not heard. First I've heard of S3. I thought it'd be along the lines of buddy passes and a travel companion for us single folks.

Career advancement / money will stitch the wound. We keep using band aids....aka LOA's...I don't understand managements intentions. How many referrals have left Endeavor since the latest pay raise at other regionals?

This whole ASA thing is rediculous and impossible - there is no ASA..... A single operating certificate was granted in November 2011... A full 4 years ago. At that point ASA stopped existing as a corporate entity.
Now, there is still a pilot contract that is separate and covers what was formerly ASA pilots, but there is nothing to "merge"...
Stupid rumor.

I agree...however a rumor that Delta puts up the for sale sign for Endeavor could and probably will happen.

Could? Yes
Probably will? I don't think so...
Endeavor is in Delta's long term plans for a ab-initio program. Don't think they would be spending the money they are just to sell us off.

No, no, no, and no.
Really unsure what happened in the last 24ish hours but rumors are rumors. Pass travel won't be on the table as anything "better" compared to surrender book will infringe on mainline benefits. That's dead. Rumors of other bases is based on block hours/home base designation by mailing address/ personal prerogative/ and BLOCK HOURS. Multiple bases have been costed over the last few years since DL took over. The costs to operate the base vs operating revenue are measured, but also weighed into those who would be "in base" by home address. I personally know cvg would have been a net loss, as would rdu. ATL is rumored but at current block hours it doesn't work. A southern base gets graded a bit differently in a "possibility" in costing as it can be a great recruiting tool but it takes more airframes and hours to make that work. The economy and CPA/ASA agreements come into play for more hours, but it also becomes a recruiting tool which offsets the cost of a base on a balance sheet. Will it happen? I wouldn't bet a buck on it, reason being there are so many factors in play that it will come down to what DL wants to do. It could happen, or money in an LOA could take it off the table OR make it a bigger factor.
Pay rates instead of retention bonuses ARE on the table, and that comes down to recruiting and retention, as does co-domicile and dual-qual. Once efb's are approvered per the FAA (soon) co domicile becomes a huge cost basis reduction for the company with room for gains to the pilot group. Dual qual is already growing instructor ranks (4-seat qual, o yippee), but can easily end up for the pilot group and drop 16 categories to 8, followed by 6 (msp/Dtw/nyc- CA/FO). The end state will be CRJ flying for all pilots, regardless of type. Additional bases will be a factor of service agreeememts.
Keep in mind the latest TA for DL keeps the scope on the small end intact (won't talk about the top end..) but RJ numbers don't change. That makes it a game of musical chairs. Beauty of a wholly owned with the newest airframes? Everyone else must make a compelling reason to meet and exceed current metrics. All EDV costs are a DL expense without paying a profit margin to a holding company. It's rigged in a sense. The last DL -200 hours will be flown by 9E when the time comes. The 900/700 discussion is pure cost analysis for service agreement renewals.
What will it be in the end? I'm not even sure if Delta knows. For now, movement at endeavor is happening and will continue to happen at a good clip from the ssp alone. If you either need 121 time, want 121 PIC time, or desire a shot to Delta, it's hard to beat. The company wants to convert the bonus to pay rates, and the union wants to take it into additional things... can't lose. If you have all the time you need, or despise current bases, or just don't want to work for DL... well maybe this isn't your cup of tea.

I definitely wouldn't mind it being better than retirees at least. There's nothing like getting bumped by grandma while you're trying to get to work. Idk how well this would go over with mainline though.
