LOL 2.5 years is a very long time away. The whole regional industry will be vastly different in 2.5 years, especially now with all the hiring.... I was hired in 2007 at ASA and was told a 2 year upgrade.........ya....8 years later, still no where near an upgrade...take what airlines say with a grain of salt. Best bet for new hires, find an airline that is near where you live and has a decent (enough) contract, just in case you get stuck there for 8 years. That, and hope you're lucky.

My point is if you come here banking on the flow, and suddenly for whatever reason the flow is stopped you could be stuck. I'm not saying don't come to envoy, but it's no guarantee like every where else. If the flow continues we will be in good shape.
This vacancy bid defiantly helps the guys that have been stuck on reserve for 3 years or more. We will see how junior it goes.

This all depends if your finally place to settle is American. If the upgrade is 2.5 years so what about the flow? The flow is there just to retain people that want to go to American. United, Delta and a few others will be hiring big time. Don't look at the flow so much as such a positive for just going to American. Look at the fact it will help you upgrade faster and have a better QOL in a shorter time.

We are just about done with the 16 year people. Roughly 100 people left.
Junior Captain is 07 hire right now, so that's 8 year upgrade

This year about 70% of all new hires at AA came from Envoy. They have had one (1) street hire on the AA side since March of this year. Everything else has been recalls and flows.

Between ENY PSA & PDT only about 25-30% of hiring at AA is available for street hires. Unless you're a NASA rocket scientist, military pilot, or part of the family already, then you may as well cross AA off your list unless you're at one of their wholly owneds.

Do the math. With 20-30 pilots/month flowing, there will be quite a bit of movement. If I were coming to the regionals, I would give Envoy some serious consideration. Upgrade time within a few years, then flowing to AA not long after that. Beats flying for Trans States or Mesa for several years, then on to Allegiant or some other lateral move for several more years. Then getting hired by a legacy several years later...if you're lucky enough to get an interview.

What you guys aren't factoring in is the overlap. It's gonna bite a lot of you right in the @ss. Don't be stupid guys. Don't by a bill of goods from these mutts. Anyone that believes ANYTHING that comes from this companies mouth will get exactly what they deserve. The "management" at eagleconvoy are just parroting what their handlers tell them. They don't know their @ss from a hole in the ground.
When the USAir/AA seniority gets fully integrated and implemented there is gonna be some surprised people at the w/o regionals.
You guys better be beating the he!! out of the bushes trying to get out of there to Delta or United or swa.
