Just to be clear you believe you should be able to say anything you want about your employer and they should still be obligated to maintain your employment? Being careful about online posts is social media 101 at any company, not exclusive to envoy.

True. However, when you start firing people for telling the truth, it gets out and hiring suffers. Hiring is already anemic at the WOs. Now just imagine if they actually fixed things. That'd be a few thousand free recruiters and they wouldn't have to stifle the truth. They can't afford to fire anyone. If they do fire you, you make more money somewhere else. Sure a few have a lot to lose due to being within a couple years of flowing or having a very spotted record. The rest, not so much. As soon as AAG figures that out, they might fix things.

You've been at PSA for about a minute, and now you are the resident expert? Worse, you're smack talking on another airline's thread. Settle down.

I would love to be an envoy cheerleader, because getting new hires here would benefit me personally and help ensure I actually flow one day. But from a moral and ethical standpoint I won't do so as long as I see this type of behavior from the individuals that are supposed to be our "leaders."

No, that's not what I said. But when a supposed member of management is more willing to threaten the job of an employee than honestly listen to the concern and attempt to address the problem, that says a lot about the culture of the corporation.

While cr700' tone might have been on the the condescending side the advice wasn't bad. ENY ALPA even put out a nice write-up on one of our blasts concerning our social media policy after one of our "truthers" was let go. Those "truther" types usually have selfish ulterior motives or are seeking power positions through inciting discontent. They usually don't benefit the pilot group or management.
But your attempt to attribute my rebuttal to an ulterior motive is incorrect. I'm simply a disgruntled employee who thinks potential new hires should have a more balanced view, since management is unwilling to even acknowledge there is a morale problem at this airline.

I haven't made a "negative" comment. But I do have a threat from a member of management on file now. Thank You, it will make my lawyer's job easier to show a history of harassment.

We tried to be part of the staffing solution by voting no to consecutive unnecessary pay cuts. But management broke us down via threats and intimidation.
A good contract and good domiciles are what bring in new hires, and those are what we pilots have fought for, and what management has fought against. It is disingenuous for a management member to post on here that pilots are the problem, while referring to a proposed band-aid over one of management's self-inflicted wounds.
