Are we really still shrinking? I thought I'd heard that now that the 175 is coming on, and the CRJ's are staying, we were going to maintain the same size in 2016. With 30 flows/month and the 175 training bubble, hopefully reserve will get a lot shorter in 2016.

It's my understanding that we will only shrink 4 planes for 2016, even when they start sending planes to PSA.

I believe that if they start getting back the 145s from TSA and XJet, it will be "growth". Also as other can't fulfill their contracts we might see AAG activate some options so we can cover others.

I think that we haven't seen this since we are just starting with the 175 trainings. If we were signed the contract two years ago, maybe there would be another history since we would be receiving probably E-175 # 25 or so by now.

But I digress, any input is appreciated, thanks!
What reasons? Its shininess?

Last I heard, which it changes rapidly, is that we won't actually be shrinking our fleet count for 2016

Good, if they really want to make Envoy the place to go, they better start announcing things here.

We do are getting applicants and new guys, but without vacancy bids or announcements, the pool will dry soon again.

I guess now is the time we are starting to see more guys from the CFI programs.

Rumor I heard from the training center is that there are very few actual street hires, 90% are from the pipeline program.

Part of the problem is no one knows *** an envoy is. The other half who know who we are associate it with downsizing, long reserve, and long upgrades. Thank management for that one.

Anyone go to the hangar to see the 175 yesterday? Supposedly Pedro said the -145s start coming back in August and we're keeping the rest of thr CRJs now. No mention of additional -175 flying yet. Can anyone confirm this stuff?

I've heard the same about the CRJs, we are keeping the rest due to the Aspen flying (I guess to get the certification from the FAA for the Aspen flying is a long, tedious process)

There is a lot that management needs to announce in order to make this place sound attractive. My personal thought is they are content with the amount of new-hires coming through...after all we are overstaffed right now and these clowns never seem to think ahead. Once 30/month start flowing, plus guys heading to United and Delta, that is when you will see them make their big announcements about envoy upgrading, keeping flying etc; I would imagine they time this with the 175's hitting the line. It's all about who the "flavor of the week" is. Simply put, envoy management nor AAG is ready at this point in time for envoy to be that flavor of the week. Give it a few months though and you will see that change because I guarantee that when people start seeing upgrades come down considerably, plus 300+ a year leaving to AA, plus new-hires in the 175, envoy will be that "flavor of the week." Just my opinion.

I think the same. It's all about timing...

I guess they are waiting until around January/February/March, to say "hey we sent already 90 flows in 3 months, we are keeping the CRJs and new hires are going to the 175".
