As is the case with any regional. Especially to mainline.
I have a few friends in their 40s who can't get calls from major airlines at other regionals, especially skywest. They are now starting to talk about retiring from there. God forbid they get too expensive or mismanaged.

Its not a bad place and they are trying to fix the issues you said. Everything changes in a heart beat, it could change quickly either way. But the flow for me is important I have 35 years of this left and I'm 3 years or less from aa. Better than having no idea if I'll ever get to mainline.
