They email you flight info, typically fly out early morning, pee in a cup at an AA medical center at the airport then get on a flight back that same day.

It depends if you live in base or not. If you commute then it's pretty easy to get a later start. If you are unable then call crew scheduling the day of and say you are commuting today and ask if they have any open time you can pick up or an overnight. You get OT pay and a hotel. Second we have a turn back volunteer list so you can keep getting extended and getting over nights. Being a little proactive can help with getting over nights.
If you live in base it's ok to be junior. You will work everyday. If you don't want multi day trips then sitting ready reserve will pretty much guarantee that you are home most nights.
It all depends on how much or little you want to work.

How's the dec 5th/19th class schedule. Any ideas about equipment for these classes, will the 175 be offered?
