The previous thread was over a year old and gives mobile users a lot of redirects so I thought I would start a new thread with some info about Envoy.
Great things are happening at Envoy. The sky is the limit.
Flow/Upgrade – AA projecting 750 new hires next year. Expect 360 to 400 to flow in 2017 and an additional 360 in 2018 for a total of close to 800 over two years alone. A new hire can expect to flow to AA in just over 5 years.
Upgrade is projected at 2.5 to 3 years and is currently dropping fast. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see upgrades at less than 2 years in the near future.
New hires. Currently hiring like gangbusters. The last class had 41. Hiring projections for 2017 are in the 750 range. New hires are now eligible for bonuses that bring total first year compensation to 60k.
If you are looking at Envoy, now is the time. Get in on the front of the wave and reap the benefits of rapid seniority advancement and the AA flow.

Upgrade times do look like they will drop considerably. They haven't yet, but the large new hire classes are promising and should drop the upgrade times for somebody hired today. Below 2 years? That depends a lot on the flow. The flow has some contractual decreases over the next few years, and the company can meter to the minimums. Why don't you show your math, instead of making bold claims with no evidence? Oh yeah, because you like to exaggerate, as you've shown.
Look, I actually think there are a lot of positives at envoy, the movement induced by flowthrough agreements and huge retirement numbers at AA, along with our improved first year pay---but nobody should come here without first being made aware of our awful schedules (4 days/2 days off for half of the line holders, frequent junior manning to work your off days), management antagonism, contract violations, and poor quality of life. Are those things necessarily no-go items in light of the flow/movement/first year pay? For some they may be, for others no. There have (finally) been some good things happening here, but it isn't all sunshine and roses. There are legit reasons why we are a ****ed off pilot group.
And there are legit good things about coming here. But when someone comes on here are starts inflating numbers, it should make you pause and wonder why they feel they have to exaggerate. The whole truth must not be good enough.

He/she is not a recruiter. Just getting the info mixed up. The last class had 28 and the next class for Dec has 44 scheduled and still increasing.
If we flow just the minimum numbers next year, that will be Jan-May 30 per month. And 25 per month the rest of the year. That's 325 for the year. They could do more but nobody in recruitment ever takes into account more than the minimum flow through numbers.

Big changes were made at AAG in October and we were told back then that improving the schedules for Envoy was a top priority. We were also told that it couldn't be done immediately and that it would take until at least January to see an improvement.
I've had a look at the preliminary lines for the ORD 145 and things are looking much better.
Average credit looks to be back above 80 hours, from December's average of 72. That's a 10% increase in a month where typically block hours go down.
Average days off also increased from 12.4 in December to 13.1 in January.
All these increases took place in a base where flying was reduced by 29 lines. I'm guessing the improvements in the DFW lines are even better.
I realize these numbers might not blow anyone away, but I think it's more evidence we are seeing a very dramatic shift from how we are valued by AAG. Hopefully this is just the beginning and the awful schedules are a thing if the past.

If there is a single 4 on/2 off line, then the improvements weren't enough.

Lga has about 13 lines for its first month. Most are off till about the 6th. 15-17 days off for almost half only one has 12 off, others are mainly 14 or 13 off. Credits very low due to new base though and being off start of month. Definitely a huge improvement on the days off. Majority are 4 days, some 3 days and a couple 2 days.

Yes, the company has fixed the schedules. As soon as you are able to see January decide for yourself.
The upgrades aren't 2.5 YET and the flow isn't 5.5 YET. They are PROJECTIONS. What about projections and math do you not understand?
Take your negative drivel over to eaglelounge. We don't need it here.

Each month I impatiently await the 14th so I can see how much better the lines are and each month I'm let down. I can hold a line but I bid reserve because the lines are so bad. And I commute! I believe the company could make our QOL better overnight but they choose to rule with an iron fist instead. If I was single and in my twenties I probably wouldn't care, but I have two daughters that I don't get to see very often and it's causing problems.
On the other hand, I'm not blind. I see the HUGE increase in hiring and the bonuses are nice but they aren't permanent pay rates. Upgrade times are going to drop significantly. Flow...who knows, but it's a nice backup.
Since Kirby left, your projections have been pretty spot on. But don't pat yourself on the back too hard, without a better QOL, the other improvements don't mean $h!t.
I'm not a fan of bashing the company, but unless you are out on the line living this nightmare, you have no business bashing those that are living it. For people like ag386 or eaglefly... bash away. They are insecure people with an axe to grind.
I hope you are right about the improvements to the schedules next month. If you are, then the complaining will probably decrease. But until then, expect more complaining.

This is one guy and it's because NY is opening, as you can see on the flow list everyone else in his seniority don't go till next yr. As a matter of fact, the 4 guys jr to him were awarded capt. And don't go until April.

There are a couple DCEs in training right now, both from my February 2011 class. I start QUG in a few weeks. The training department is in a constant state of flux right now. My training date has literally changed 3 times since the last flow-plan.

Dacuj,
The flow numbers for 2017 seem to be off...50% of 750 is 375. I don't know where the 400 flows number is coming from, but to project that many is pretty reckless, especially since it is only 35% of every new hire class for the protected pilots until the 40th 175 is delivered. That will coincide closely with the end of the 824, yes, but still only adds up to 375 if all goes well. With staffing at critical levels in many statuses still, it would shock me if mgmt let any more than the minimum go per month.
I am not saying ENY is a bad place, I am, however, questioning your numbers inflation. Also, as someone has pointed out already, the last class had 28, not 41.
I realize your role here is to represent the good in ENY, but please represent it honestly and correctly.
