And, as far as Mesa goes, if everyone’s $$$’s go up then that will cause upward pressure for Mesa’s $$$’s. You can’t operate a regional very long without attracting new hires. And, as a public company, you will have an investor revolt if you can’t keep pace. Mesa’s management is smart enough to know that.

In reading over the SkyWest 10Q recently, the only disappointment I had was that United has a 120 day cancellation clause on the CRJ200’s. I guess they need that in case the ASA guys don’t stick around in the desired numbers.
Your reply doesn't give me confidence that you understand what the loss of airplanes will do to Mesa directly and indirectly.

You didn't comprehend what the quarterly said about the 120 Day cancellation. If INC is in breach of contract then United would not need a written "cancellation policy" as you surmised. The express jet 200s are a three year deal. INC Prorate flying has the 120 day cancellation policy.

Or, what the loss of airplanes will do to SkyWest if the United MEC gets its way... Xjet may be the first step to pulling all 175 flying in-house.

And, people have predicted the surmise of Mesa for a long time. I don’t worry about it. Some of our CPA’s with United are long-term deals. We will be flying for United for at least the next 10 years.

Three words for the SkyWest pilots commenting on the TA. Block or better.

I look at the contract with it’s outs in January 2019 —- which probably means everything SGU has planned has fallen through —- as a positive. It means you will know where you stand in February 2019 a little bit better. That is only 5 months away and worth the wait for many.

If the 175’s come, that will stem some of the CA departures. The 175’s and the up to $40k in signing bonuses will attract new hires that might have not given Xjet even a look. Once you start growing your pilot base again, good things will happen.
I love it. xjet doesn't even have 175's on property but now rumors are already starting that they will be taking airframes away from Republic and Mesa? There is a real possibility the 175's never even make it to xjet. What did SGU have planned that fell thru ?

Read earlier the clauses in this thread for early renegotiation of the TA. Those clauses aren’t in there unless SGU didn’t plan this. They have no interest to renegotiate another agreement in a few months.

Also, the United MEC wants all 175’s as mainline aircraft. It doesn’t matter who flies them or who owns them. The 175 fleet will be mainline flown. I don’t have a clue whether that will really happen. I am certainly planning that it doesn’t.

Uniteds MEC has no control over that. How are you connected with SGU to know what they want?

UA MEC, AA union, Delta, have all said they want to bring RJ’s in house. Reality is that it will never happen.. It helps them negotiate...

The United MEC has so far been negotiating the 175’s coming back in-house. If they are successful in negotiations, they have control.

Nothing in the Xjet TA is going to be there unless SGU wants it to be there. Do you really thinking Xjet management is making these decisions on their own and in a vacuum?
