I heard the EFB's are being tested in the simulators. They will be iPad 2 and later models.

When I did my AQP in January, I was told to expect them in the first quarter.

Expect them when pilot concessions finance the hardware purchase and not one day sooner.

They should keep our next few Performance Plus bonuses to finance them. I don't think anyone could complain about that.

I don't, or claim to know what the end game of Inc. is but hypocrisy will never win any souls.
FWIW, they haven't asked us to meet the costs of any bankrupt carriers, only SkyWest Airlines.

Why do you continue to make excuses and rationalize their request for concessions? State of the industry? We were operationally profitable and the whole corporation has been profitable all along!
I have never made excuses or rationalized their request for concessions. Show me once where I did that. You have never answered the question. Do you/we deserve a raise or not? If you do, why do you?
Yes, you rationalized it by saying they took a pay cut on one year, and by saying they take their job home with them, and by saying they provided the capital (not true) and we are labor. Those are all rationalization a (arguments) for their pay raises. That's what you've been posting all along. I get it, even though you do, you don't agree it's rationalizations.

As for our pay raises, yes of course we deserve them. We deserve them for many reasons. One reason is that they for pay raises and we didn't.

Please understand that I don't agree with the tactic, but given the state of the industry and management's responsibility to the shareholders, I don't think we could have made it through this without being asked for concessions. Again, I do not agree with the tactic, just pointing out why I believe they did it.
You do understand that we made a profit right? And that not only have they been giving themselves raises, they are paying for two management teams and two if everything to run the airlines. And it's their job to ask us for pay cuts when they can get coat cuts from other places? How is that them doing their job? Ridiculous! There you go with rationalizations.

Not that I disagree with everything else you wrote, but ExpressJet did not make a profit, at least on paper, according to the latest 10-Q.

We were operationally profitable. Only the interest expense made us unfortunate overall. And as pilots, we have absolutely nothing to do with interest expenses. That's all on management!

Ok but they might as well be as far as I am concerned. Concession regardless of what we have to match is still a concession. I know I am preaching to the choir but I guess this has struck a nerve.

On a side note for those who are worried about iPads or the like, please do not wrap yourselves in things like this.

iPads will come when Jepp no longer prints paper charts and/or the cost of the hardware and subscriptions is less than the paper charts plus delivery.
