anybody else notice the AE 700 on the homepage today. Either an intern screwed up and doesn't know a 200 from a 700 or something else might be going on. I hope we don't take these planes.

It is human nature to be self sighted, but this industry is, and always has been extremely cyclical. The last classes hired at the majors in the 60's sat on the panel of 727's for a decade. UA, AA, DL...just now finishing up last furlough recall... Have you talked to anyone at US Air that was hired in the 80's or 90's.... Miserable.... Braniff, Eastern, TWA, Pan Am, Comair, World.... Get over yourselves... this career is a crap shoot... period... and if your "6000+" hours in your chosen field are "worthless".... that's your fault.

woah woah woah, no fighting! There's plenty of blame to go around! I'm looking at being an 8 year FO. I think I'll break down the blame like this:
50% ASA Mgt
30% ALPA
19% Majors (whipsaw/contracts, etc...)
1% Me for choosing this company

hah...
Nononononono, I pay my dues (literally, the 1.9% or whatever), I vote when votes come up, I listen to what ALPA has to say... that being said, I don't like ALPA, if a chance to vote them out came up, I probably would. I was not part of ALPA when the set-up to this cluster F&#$ was being carried out. The 1% me is the time when I decided to take a chance on this failing carrier (back before it was failing) in 2007.

Judging by your remarks, I'll bet my per diem you are one of the ones responsible for creation this abomination of an industry since you're "too good to fly a little jet".

Are you one of those people that do the whole my generation is so much better then your "entitlement" generation...? I laugh so hard when i hear you fools. Mind you, while your generation is bankrupting the country, selling bad loans that force us into a terrible recession, and generally only caring about yourselves, you tell us that we should be happy for the ****ed up hand we have been dealt. Yet the generation before us, likely "your generation", screwed the **** out of my generation and the upcoming ones. I'm sorry we have to pay off all of the debts your generation took. I'm sorry we got screwed by the economic collapse your generation created. I'm sorry my friends have been getting shot at in the wars your generation created. I'm sorry your generation created the hell known as the regional airlines. I'm truly sorry for all of it.
and your assumptions about me are, of course, wrong.
