Yes surface JUST started so I doubt that would be the announcement (if there is one)

The only whiff I've heard is LGA base but that's been a rumor for awhile

I heard a new iPhone is coming out. Delta is also looking at acquiring Western Airlines.

That's what I heard.
And what comes with a reduction in fleet?

Didn't hear anything on that. But I imagine attrition will take care of most of it. If not, Skywest is hiring along with almost very body else.

More mainline jobs? They mention furlough and you won't be able to park planes fast enough. You can't have a whole herd of lifers left when all this is over. Without a big seniority list you can kiss your regional airline goodbye. The ASA MEC needs to realize that wishing for the Erj sides demise or to take advantage of a smaller Erj side they are going to get their way and be.left with a Comair scenario. To small and senior to be profitable but woohoo you got flightline!

If you are getting your 6 month outlook from the same delta system manager that forced the Erj side to stop hiring and upgrading in 4th quarter 2012 she is lucky to still have a job. She has no idea what goes on at United and her poor planning cost $250-300,000 a month in instructor overtime and cost the company millions in lost performance bonuses due to staffing on the Erj side alone while they scrambled to hire and upgrade mid 2013 to catch up. She would probably want a furlough but it will cause a mass exodus and make the entire operation crj and Erj unsalvageable.

It will be 900's coming from Endeavor and a slow down or complete stoppage of 50s belong parked on the CRJ side.

That would explain the abundance of 7/900 pilots...we'll just have to wait and see. It is probably nothing.
