While I understand the logic from your lack of experience in the 121 world, I think you should evaluate what you’re actually saying VS reality. The company isn’t going to do anything to you for wearing a stupid lanyard. If anything all you’re going to do is **** off someone you’re flying with because you’re a blow hard for the company in their eyes. Do as you please, but I can’t sit here and let you think this logic of being on probation and wearing a lanyard that is supposed to show unity within our pilot group will affect your job.

Weren’t people being targeted for the simplest things last time during contract negotiations? Being “fired” for calling out sick, etc.? If I were brand new to the company and it was my very first 121 job ever, I would feel like I was painting a target on myself wearing a union lanyard or worse yet a strike lanyard. Everyone is free to do whatever they like, but accosting someone for not wearing a union lanyard when they are flying a jet for the first time just trying not to screw up is pretty insensitive.

WEAR. THE. LANYARD.
Not your FAPA. not your green frontier one. Not your sports one. Idc how long you have been here, probation or not. it isn't hard. If you weren't supposed to wear it, they would let you know. It is the simplest little thing every pilot here can do.

Agreed. It's a sign of solidarity to the company that we are all on the same page. We demand to be compensated fairly.
