I agree completely. I can only speak from my experience but...

People come to F9 for probably 1 of 2 reasons - they live in Denver (or other base city) and/or they are at a regional hoping for better. If there was a pilot out there that had offers from us as well as a legacy, SWA, Alaska/Virgin, JB or possibly even Spirit and lived in Vegas or St Louis or Charlotte (basically anywhere but a F9 base), I doubt very seriously they'd be asking questions about the pay here. They can answer that question on their own and it's not hard to figure out we're the lowest in the industry. Already, knowing that, the QoL that we have would have to be pretty significant to DECIDE to come here vs. anywhere else. Perhaps a deciding factor between us and Spirit is upgrade time but I'd find it a little strange that anyone would forgo someplace else for here because it's just a great place to fly.

I've been on property for a lil under a year. I think the people that I fly with are pretty good people. I think most of the FAs are decent. The hotels are average (not better than my regional all) and the contract is great in some areas and poor in others. F9 is a step above my regional IMO and probably just about every other regional in the long run. Of course, this isn't a profound statement.

But, I agree with you. Let's be honest about our company. Decent people, OK contract with a big IF looming. As far as the contract negotiation goes, I think the major issues are like PBS, LOA 67, reserve rules, etc. I have no idea how any of that is going specifically other than what I read in ALPA/FAPA emails.

Hi; 2 questions, as Ive been applying to F9 for 2+ years consistently with no call.
1-I haven't been able to attend a job fair due to work and family schedules. Ill be passing through DEN and was wondering if dropping a resume off at Tower Rd will help any?
2-I was told by an F9 recruiter 2-3 years ago after 2 consecutive furloughs that "I had too many jobs". It seems they are concerned with people leaving and turning folks down who have "Delta" written all over them. I have no interest in the sort, but for personal reasons am trying to get on at F9. Will having these jobs still on my resume still dissuade F9 from interviewing me?

They way I understand it. Is that in the past they were concerned about people moving on for greener pastures. And you would get a tbnt if you seemed to be looking to move on.

Now that the training contract is in place. And people are actually having to sign it. If you're honest in the interview about your career aspirations. And also happy and willing to sign a training contract. Along with a positive attitude and If you seem optimistic about the future of Frontier as a career airline. You will get the nod.

Lying in the interview is easy to spot and will get you a tbnt as well.

I'm starting F9 training in August, can I get some suggestions for a place to stay or crashpad to use during training?

I'd check out dia home awaySEMI-PRIVATE CRASH PAD AT DIA - Home and ask if they have a rate for staying there during training. I stayed there for 1 month on reserve and its a pretty nice crashpad, more private than others.

 

Silver, I'm sure you've done this already but is there anyone you know? Can you scour your contacts for someone who might fill out an internal recommendation for you? That and/or getting to a job fair seems to be the key to an interview.

I have no idea if dropping by Headquarters would be frowned upon. That's certainly the way they did it in the old days. Good luck - and please report back if you decide to try it.
