United opened their window as well. 20 a month indefinitely. MASSIVE new contract on the horizon.

I heard they started at 20 a month; but APC still says accepting resumes only and not actually "hiring". I think they have started calling for interviews. Legacies hiring again will be a great thing for us all, regardless of where we all want to end up or stay.

They are calling guys who had class dates but never got them due to the furloughs in 08ish as well as some united furloughs.

A question for you JB guys. With the changes in health care do you see people jumping ship for the majors next year that are hiring?

Absolutely...especially ones who were furloughed from previous companies, and want to go back to better options. For the rest who are not previous furloughs, most of the ones who do jump ship to another airline will most likely be F/O's. I don't think any Captains are gonna want to give that up. But then again, I've seen crazier things.

Yes and no. Even without the changes to healthcare I think a lot of junior and mid range FOs would jump ship to places like DAL/UAL/FedEx/etc. People in the left seat holding decent lines wont go anywhere even with the healthcare changes, so there will be perpetual churn at the bottom end of the list. No retirements to speak of for the next decade either.

Im guessing maybe 6-8yrs until a newhire could hold reserve E190 CA, prob 8-10 for reserve A320 CA. Holding a commutable line on either equip will be a longer wait. 12-14yrs+

6/6 Delta furloughs I've talked to said they're going back. One was telling me how he could get paid more and have better benefits as an FO on the 757, which he could hold a line on for sure on the west coast. He's a junior CA on the Bus at B6. Now, those are just the guys I've talked to. It's not necessarily an indicator of how everyone feels. However, it's an election year, so I feel safe in saying "100% of Delta pilots have said they'll return to Delta."
