Agreed. I’m an FO and I’ll hold the line. How many years ago was a 76-79 seat plane considered Mainline? Pilots keep letting the companies get away more and more. We need to protect our way of life, which includes not taking concessions. Concessions is a slippery slope. MOU should be called
“Concessions before the next contract”
Walking in Day 1 of the new contract negotiations....
Negotiating Committee: We would like to purpose we have 76 hours guarantee and not extend the MOU any longer.
JO: Well I suppose I could do that, but we won’t be able to raise the pay rates. We just financed a bunch of new flying so you guys will be flying more hours.
Negotiating Committee to the pilots: Good news we have more flying coming soon.

Please give me your definition of racism. Not the copy and paste off the internet definition. Post yours and I’ll post mine.

The 12 days off is a joke. Let’s be real, the only people the 12 days off applies to are reservists. Line holders all get 14 or more days off. Just scroll through last few months of PBS awards in any base.

Assuming this MOU is passed, and we still get furloughed, by all means, tell me I told you so. But this MOU is far from anything close to resembling a socialist contract. Leftists are very “survival of the fittest”. I see nothing wrong with simply buying fellow pilots more time. But if you wanna keep up with the “muh freedoms, muh money” mentality, by all means continue to look like a douche.

Terks43, I love you bro. If it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t be having such a good time time. Hugs?
If you were dating a flight attendant while being married, I’d still keep your secret for you. In unity

Cool story. Except the MOU has safeguards for that. Also, given that this downturn can’t be compared to any other in history, thinking that history will repeat itself is kinda dumb. If you remember the Great Recession, that wasn’t gonna fixed like this one could with almost a simple flick of a switch. Concessions did not need to occur then because you were still gonna get furloughed, the economy at its core was trash.

When has the company came and offered thanks for us flying during COVID? Any extra health benefits or extra pay as front line workers as we exposed ourselves to a deadly virus for company profits?
The biggest thing that the union needs to do is properly evaluate their worth as pilots. You are flying 80,000lbs of flying metal across the earth at 82-83%(76%for the slower ejet ☺️) the speed of sound with 65-79 passengers aboard. Many of you here hold graduate and undergrad degrees in engineering with ATP’s. Have some dignity for yourselves. You deserve more than what is being offered.

The MOU is equillavant to about 210 furloughs give or take. And he said he needed 491 pilots furloughed? Then in 2022 we will be paid 6 extra hours at what pay scale? You know he is not going to make a profit, the company will finally get to that maintenance that was deferred.

What..? That’s weird. I was on short call for 3 months since this “epidemic,” I flew a total of maybe 20hrs combined. Long call, last month alone I flew almost 28 hours. Most recent was for someone that has 90+ credit hours that dropped an overnight with an early show.
