Let's have a great time but let's also project a professional image, especially when you're standing in front of a large group addressing them as instructor-student. You saying someone who shares my view should go walk off a pier?
This is pretty weak.

You went through all of training THEN said something?

If it made you that uncomfortable even though you admittedly do it yourself why didn't you say something to them? I'm sure they would've done their best to keep it in check in front of you.

"professionalism" would've been doing the above, not putting someone's job in jeopardy because you think they aren't projecting the right "image." Don't make this something it isn't.

Did you actually do this in person to HR or did you do it anonymously through one of those evaluation forms?

Edit: looks like CRR beat me to it.

Can you at least give the captain you're flying with a courtesy heads up before calling pro standards? Thanks!

So this means we can expect you as an FO to maintain total professionalism in the flight deck at all times right?? I'm sure you wouldn't mind if people called pro standards if not. After all, that is the right thing to do correct??

As you now see, you have gained the attention that makes you appreciate having a screen name. "Shut-it" and move along. Aviation itself is a small community. Within a single airline, it's......personal.

They do look through your logbook during the interview although several people in my class were not current. Maybe go out and get a BFR in a cessna.

A few people in my class weren't current too. They "take your hand" throughout training, you'll have plenty of time to remember what you forgot. A couple of hours in an FTD will definitely help

LoL it's nothing personal to the new guy. The most important quality is that you can fly the crap out of the plane if it deems necessary. Second most important trait is that the other guy or girl won't want to strangle you in the hotel room after the first day. As an FO, you don't really have a choice but to go along with the tone that is set by the captain. Without arguing right or wrong, unless the captain breaks the rules blatantly or is putting the lives of passengers and crew in danger, it's hard for the FO to speak up. However it's worse to go behind the captain's back and report the captain to pro standards and the company. At least have the decency to confront the person in a non threatening and professional manner. Most will respect that a lot more... most...

There are a FEW captains that I want to stick their heads in the APU exhaust after few legs but those d bags aren't too common.

Who said I went to HR?

Yikes, once again who said I went to HR? I filled out the Eval forms w/ my opinion of what I thought was good & what I thought could be improved. It doesn't bother me personally, BUT it doesn't project the correct image. Definitely not worth my time to call HR or fly to Dayton.
