(and have you seen the age of the new hires in the last year, I bet the class average age is 35+).

If someone is drowning, I am going to grab the first thing that I can find that floats and throw it to them, and then try to find something better. Be it a basketball or a CRJ200 seat cushion. Your argument is that the drowning person should not get the first thing that floats that may save their lives, they should hold out for a shiny, brand new life jacket. All that person wants is something to help them until they are able to help themselves. And you are denying it. You would rather that they drown than to accept less than something perfect.

Try looking at it objectively.

There is a pilot shortage and first year FO pay sucks. It just changed. They just got a $10k pay raise, and it was taken away by the captains that they are flying with because they wanted to make more as well.

Nobody has yet to answer me so please be the first, if the company wanted to give every captain a $10k bonus how would the FOs react? I would say no bonuses (even though it benefits me) unless we all get one. That is unionism and that is our leverage. Don't like it? Go to SkyWest or another non union carrier. Did you ever read either volume of Flying the Line? Maybe spend less time preaching on apc and more time researching how to be a good union pilot. Think that stuff would fly at the majors?

These guys can't even stand 4 leg days or a couple months of reserve, of course they lack the work ethic. Don't even get them started about having to wait up to 10 years to flow lol.

You voted in increasing the flow from 4 to 5. That was selfish. Why would you vote that crap in? Wait until they offer a flow of 15 per month. A good flow or nothing at all. Why not stop the flow all together until they increase it to 15 a month?????

Why did you accept something that only benefited a small part of the pilot group? The 5 per month will never help someone over 500 on the seniority list, but you still voted it in just to benefit yourself.

It is the same thing.

And the majors have been doing this crap for years. They sold scope for a few dollars an hour raise. Their crap stinks just like everyone elses.

OK. I am done. I am embarrassed to work at the same company as you. I am embarrassed for your family and feel sorry that they have to put up with you.

I pray that God will be merciful on your soul. You have serious issues and I hope that you find peace.

We need to improve the CBA so it's in line with the rest of the other carriers. 20K is not the way to do it.

Chase the quick upgrade, go to endeavor. Or stay in unity at PSA.
You didn't lose anything with the union turning down a bonus system that rewards only a portion of the pilot group. I could go into details about how bad it was 10 years ago. Our union have dramatically improved the QOL at PSA. I don't support them 100%. But in this particular case, I do. Your being extremely selfish not believing that all pilots deserve a bonus.
I'm sorry you feel I'm entitled for thinking our poorest pilots deserve more. You're sorry CAs make more than FOs? With this bonus FOs still wouldn't make as much as CAs but thanks to this vote new hires do make more than first and second years FOs. When you started did you have SAP or flow? Were you entitled for taking those when pilots before you didn't have them? To me you're being selfish because you are denying struggling pilots because you want more that you may never get. Let me ask you a question. Are you planning on flowing? Would you leave if a better airline offered you a job? Would that $20K be enough for you to not flow or go to another legacy? My guess is no. I'm not against all pilots getting a raise but I just don't see our CAs getting offered anything because $20K is not going to change any of their situations. The guys that share staying until retirement will stay money or not. The guys flowing will flow $20K or not. The guys with offers from dealta southwest or united will go bonus or not. Why would the company offer you any thing when it will not change the loss or gain of CAs at all? Stop looking at this as who deserves what and instead look at it as who will realistically benefit from this. The answer is FOs that are junior or new hires. So I say to you stop being selfish and be happy a new generation may not have to suffer as others did.
