I don't mind to sacrifice a little pay to live somewhere that I like and is close to family. And did I mention I'm a Vols fan. Haha.
A little pay????
Endeavor you start out at double the pay of psa.
Our fo's make more than psa captains.
Only about one month if rsv for new hires.
Dtw tys super easy commute.

I'd expect no increase in June.
Dion also said at one of his town hall meetings a few months ago that PSA was having no trouble hiring, and that there would never be a sign on bonus at PSA.

Next thing that you know, there is a $5000 bonus. A few months later, we have the bigger bonus now.

They only tell you part of the story. Don't believe any announcements. They are trying to get by on spending the least amount possible.

Come ooooon. There MIGHT be a couple guys that really work a LOT that make make more than a couple captains at PSA but that is certainly not the norm.

Telling someone to commute and not live in base is irresponsible at best.

A first year FO at PSA is going to make ~33k assuming only guarantee. Your first year pay is not 66k.

Because they're lying.

You can read the transcripts from the townhall event at the PSA employee website, (Page 1, directly below the photo of the most recent flight attendant graduates).
Thanks for pointing out the transcripts; I hadn't seen those yet and it's nice reading their words instead of listening to the hearsay.

I agree with those that say a dramatic increase in flow isn't likely come June. I also think that Delta has set the new normal with regional compensation and that the rest of the industry needs to catch up.

I also think it's going to take D&D some time to figure that out.

You're being dramatic. And I have an audio recording of the recent townhall. I've heard it.

I don't think we will see a dramatic increase either. They MAY offer up 1 more /month. Maybe. I don't see it going way up though. They did say however that once PSA has stopped growing, they would increase our flow. As I see it, we aren't likely to grow too much more.

And while I think that Endeavor and some of the other regionals are really leading the charge by raising compensation. The current hiring environment won't last forever and neither will the current economic situation. Market forces will eventually leave them in a less than favorable position. It's all about the money for our legacy partners. If Delta felt they could secure reliable feed for cheaper than that, they would in a heartbeat. That is currently what the market is demanding and Delta is paying. Eventually, the market won't be demanding it, and what then?

You bring up an interesting point. But as much as the analysts and speculators forecast and play accounting gods, I think that if the big three continue to grow their fleets, in time there will be no pilots to siphon from their current sources. If anything the big three should maintain or even shrink capacity a bit to ensure proper staffing in the near term. Either that or they will have to ACTUALLy hire regional pukes as a matter of standard. I even recently read a publication by delta where they are conferring with the Air Mobility Command to develop a way to ensure a stream of proper aviators to delta. It's absolutely mad.
