I'm joking but I can see why they have that in there. I guess we can do the taxi check with one engine now. So verifying the second one is running before take off will catch an oops before taking the runway since we are accustomed to running taxi's with both engines

I know you're kidding. But to have a checklist to let you know your second engine isn't running is ridiculous imo.

Yeah I understand that but you never know someone will forget and try to take off. It's just covering their ass

Covered by verifying T/O Config though. I really hope this doesn't mean that someone actually started to takeoff single engine before....

Exactly. Why are we verifying the engine is running when the next checklist item is T/O config verify checked? Last time I checked, having an engine shutdown is not an approved T/O configuration.

You should ask the Compass DO how well "takeoff config checked" worked for him.

I could be wrong but I think TO config will still be displayed with only 1 engine. I know the 145 does.
