Thats complete bs.I know of several people that have done it.You must be a management tool or a lying recruiter .With a statement like that you have to be.
Be honest with these new 1500 hr guys instead of feeding them nothing but lies and bs.

10 people have been hired off the street last 12 months that I know of. Now what got them in is the question.

Now anyone that says only way to aa is through the flow is a troll for management.

So bc you say it on the internet it must be true, okay. How many new hires has AA hired off the street in the past 12 months? And exactly how many had PSA as a former employer?

Its not the only way but your odds of off the street when competing against military and well connected pilots makes it very tough. The flow is an insurance policy if Delta, United, UPS, Fedex, or SWA never call or say TBNT. It is not easier to get hired at AA off the street vs flow that is a fact. The flow is only a backup that many that have failed the hogan or two day Delta interview wished they had.

I know a few that where Envoy, went to Spirit, applied to AA, UA ...And nothing, a pilot recruiter from AA...JT....
Told me if they see in your resume PSA, PDT or ENY...they will not consider you, but again, it might change next year with the staffing issues !!!!

Complete BS. Thats the nonsense they want you to believe to keep their regionals staffed adequately as long as possible. Get off the pipe son.A 10-12 year flow is worthless. With the staffing issues looming, it will probably go away completely before long and it will once again be every man for himself. The ones that leave the WO'S now will be far ahead of the rest of the numnuts when the stink hits the fan.....and it will, its just a matter of time and supply and demand.

How would leaving a WO make someone better or worse off than if they stayed and their flow went away? I guess I'm just not seeing the logic in your post...

We have had several guys at ENY get hired at AA off the street in the last 6 months or so. A couple were FO's.

It's possible but unlikely. The guys that did get hired also had more than 5000 hrs of Turnine Time.

Loyalty looks much better for the majors than constantly jumping around every couple of years.
