Anyone got an insight on what to expect on the 25 question written they are giving when you interview? Has it changed in the last weeks? Any good books or test prep besides the huge ATP prep one?

The majority of the questions are on AviationInterviews.com.

Read that and study the questions. It is worth the few dollars that they charge.

From speaking to a couple of recruiters and also some HR folks, it seems that most of the people not getting interview offers have incomplete information on their resume. The 10 year work history is a HUGE one that people seem to be leaving incomplete and not getting an offer because of it. Also, make sure the date you list for your medical certificate is up to date (don't accidentally put the date of your expired medical on there) and make sure all of your work history and other dates line up and make sense. Those are the things I was told when I asked. Those who do not get offers after interviewing seem to be those who are unprofessional and don't show up wearing a suit or at least an ironed shirt and a tie (don't show up in your golf slacks with a polo shirt untucked in the back) or can't brief an approach plate or know their basic IFR regulations (123 rule, approach minimums, etc) or who bomb the written test (the gouge is online. They obviously don't expect people to memorize a thousand some plus question/answer bank from the ATP written, but showing up and passing the written test tells them you cared enough to study the gouge and prepare as much as possible). Good luck to all who are applying and interviewing. At this point, if you are otherwise qualified, the job is yours to lose. They want to hire everyone possible, but some things like incomplete applications and unprofessional attitudes in the interview aren't going to be looked over.

Okay thanks. I definitely am not that guy. I believe joining PSA will be a good move and only make my QOL and career progresssion better. Thanks for the insight.

What rate are you accumulating hours at? 50 a month? more? less?
I would probably get another 75 hours or so and then reapply/update the app.

Re the interview, I studied probably 40 hours to get ready for it. If you haven't already, start studying for the ATP knowledge test. You'll need that info anyway.
I think they just aren't interested in you "now" because of where you're at in regard to meeting their criteria. Get more hours, study, and try again. They are going to be hiring for the next year (if all goes according to plan) so keep moving forward.
Keep in mind that some of the lower time people granted interviews may have had military time which carries more weight.

Default Written Question

The one question I remember from the written test in my interview (a little over a year ago) asked something along the lines of: When you find yourself unstable on an instrument approach prior to the missed approach point, which procedure should you follow?
A) continue the approach to the missed approach point and then follow the missed approach procedure.
B) immediately follow the vertical and lateral guidance of the missed approach procedure.
C) follow only the verticals guidance of the missed approach procedure until you are at the missed approach point, and then follow the lateral guidance.

-This is roughly what I remember but something in the question mislead the entire hiring group and I think we all got it wrong. It was ok though, during the panel interview, they asked the question again and discussed the right answer with me. This sounds really elementary looking back at it, but like I said, I think the wording mislead us somehow. Answer is C

I had a guy on my flight today out of CLT that had just interviewed and accepted a November class date. Congratulations to all of the pilots that accepted class dates with PSA this week. We look forward to seeing you on the line in just a few months!

Default Interview invitation

I just received an invite for a interview next week (just submitted app last night), I am going to be away for a military school during that time period. When I filled out the application I noted the date I would be available as December 15 2016 (because of the school). Anyone have any suggestions on how to approach this with PSA HR?
