July seniority list 1182 total pilots
August seniority list 1170 total pilots including the 16 new hires on the list.
That means 28 pilots gone in 1 month, even closer to 1 per day than just 2 months ago. I'm sure the defenders will be here to explain how it's mostly from flow or correcting the list.
Just a reminder: January seniority list 1195 total pilots. Maybe someone can explain how even though PSA has been hiring at least 10 a month since January the list has still decreased by 25 total pilots. Granted I'm sure many of the new hires didn't even finish training. I'm willing to bet many left for another regional that was their first choice. Probably one with better pay, better bases, and a better contract that might actually be followed.
Maybe they should raise the recruitment bonus to 10k. Or maybe they should finally think about improving the conditions here to retain the experienced pilots they have already paid to train.

I was really planning on being at PSA until I got hired at a major. Line holding captain, and live in base. Not bad.
But now, I am looking to bail asap. I am thinking maybe Spirit at this point. But app is in everywhere.

Seriously though, if the pay and contract were fixed I believe it would reduce the number of pilots that left for LCCs, at least for captains. FOs have nothing to lose by moving to an LCC.
I believe a lateral move to another regional still makes sense. PSA shows no signs or intentions to improve anything. Any FO hired in the last year has the opportunity to move a number of different regionals that offer higher pay, more commutable bases and in most cases that FO will upgrade earlier than they would have had they stayed at PSA.
