I believe we got authorization to start using iPads April 3 so the date should be Oct 3.

Has anyone else noticed that the cities that we used to only fly CRJ200's to are being changed out to CRJ700's and 900's. Seems like a good step on phasing out the 200's.

I would imagine part of it is due to the number of CRJ200's that we currently have parked.

Many already are in the same boat.

Any FO that was hired here in the last 18 months has got to realize that they are not going to upgrade in the next 2 years. And all of those DEC's will never get off reserve.

I would imagine a FO and DEC exodus to start in the next few months.

I very much doubt that. It's Allegiant's smallest base.

Its much more practical than your SFB/MCO base prediction since we don't fly into either airport.

Ha that was never a prediction... I don't think any FL base is very likely. Just passing along the latest scuttle butt I've heard. I believe the company is going to try in vain to staff and still bring the 700s over from Envoy and open ORD. I also think there is a possibility of CVG closing in favor of another more commutable base. It isn't just pilots that the company is having a hard time hiring/retaining, it's Mx personnel too. And literally every other company on the field at CVG pays better than us so we regularly lose Mx personnel.

Also, most of the FOs I know are commuters. Lots of CAs live in CLT, not a lot of FOs. It's pricey and that tends to drive FOs away. It is however commutable, so guys are more inclined to stay put and commute until they upgrade then move.
