I think honestly if they close a base it won't be to open another new one, it will just be to simply close it. An inability to attract new hires and eventual contraction will be the name of the game in the next couple of years at most of the regionals. It's already beginning at some.
Those staffing projections change monthly, if not weekly.

You're not wrong. Although I'm not sure what your point is.

They're (AAG) gonna keep what they can staff at the Wholly owneds for the cheap price they have already locked in via concessions. Any excess capacity the wholly owned can't staff will be put out to bid to the other American eagle carriers.

yes they will put the bid out for others and these other feeders pay more to their pilots and will charge aag a higher fee for the feed. the extra fee payment's to these other feeders will be paid from the savings of the w/o's.
flow for low pay.

My point is that one week they may go up and the next they may go down. Trying to predict the future using a staffing model is about the same as a 10 day out weather forecast.

Now, it seems they are concerned.
I talked with the EFB administrator the other day about the same issue. While the talk about crew room wifi is going around, I was told it wont delay the EFB project. We are told to use our 4G LTE data if needed to keep our efb up to date, the data is there for weather data, chart updates, etc.

Crew room wifi isnt PSA IT's project, it's mainline AA. Its the same story with Envoy and Piedmont.

October 4th is the day we should see an faa approval for the efb.

Acually, is the other way around. First to chose are the others, and the WO's gets the crums...

I have been using hotel and airport WiFi for more than 2 years to finish my masters degree program online. I always travel with my laptop, and use the internet for at least a couple hours each night. I have never had a problem with the wifi at any hotel or airport. Period. You can easily update your charts. There are no issues here at all.

This is just people being whiny brats. Be grateful that we have ipads and no longer have to update paper charts.

Pilots have a bad history of complaining about everything, wether it is justified or not. We cry wolf over every little thing to the point that no one listens to us anymore. This is just another example of this. We are our own worst enemy. If we would stop complaining about all of the stupid things, and just concentrated on 1 or 2 issues, then things might get fixed.

Stop looking for problems where they don't exist.

Grow up and show some maturity. Figure it out and solve the problem.
