Just call them. Ask for a different date. I had to move my interview date when I applied. It was no trouble at all.

Hey guys quick question. I logged all my CFI time in my logbook but all my 121 time in an electronic one. How do I bring this to an interview? Do I have to transfer all the 121 flight time into the logbook or is there another way to do this? Is there something I need to print? I have Logten Pro X.

I sent in an app late last night - no referral but ATP with 1700TT, 1300 PIC and two jet types. Hopefully I'll get a call today... I feel like I'm just wasting time at my current 135 gig. If anyone has a way to refer me after the fact, hit me up.

It's been a long time since I commuted (worked for a sched 135 operator while in college). If you're on a 12hr hook for reserve are you still required to commute to base, if you can make your commute in less than 12 hours? The eventual goal would be to move to TYS or CLT. Living in MCI now, need another year-ish to get our house finished and sold.

I've got loads of other n00b questions if anyone has time to answer them.

Not required to be in base for 12 hour call out. As long as you can make it to base by your assignment then you can be wherever you want before that. Feel free to pm me if you have more questions - or post them here and I'm sure someone will answer.

Print out the electronic one and bring them both.

For the sake of anyone else with these kinds of questions:

Does long call reserve ever get converted to short-call? IE, you get called into base and then once you're there, they put you on SCR and hold you there? Again, I'm going off some previous experience at a baby-regional so pardon my ignorance.

I'm just doing my best to find a way to avoid a two-leg commute to a crash pad until I can move into a base.

Yes it can be converted to short call. I believe there is a limit on how much they can do that but I'm not sure as it's been quite a while since I was on reserve.

The reality of long call reserve is that a good portion of the LCR lines end up getting converted to "additional build ups" meaning you essentially have a line. Should you choose to not accept the additional build up LCRs also get called first to fly so it isn't going to really give you any extra time at home.

Thanks for the explanation.

So, with that said, if a LCR gets converted to a build up, is it relatively short-notice? I would assume so since you're on reserve anyway.

I'm guessing I just need to find a place to crash for that few months of reserve. It looks like CVG and CLT are my best commute options.

You don't have to commute to base.
