In the last few months, PSA has been sending as many pilots to Delta as we are to AA.
Actually we have sent more pilots to Delta alone than we are flowing. I know guys who are less than a year away from flow that are actively trying to leave. Flow is nice but its not worth waiting for.

Back when it was a "SSP", (i.e.: guaranteed interview), instead of a flow, I know of several PSA pilots who had interviewed and were awaiting a class date at AA when United called and offered them a class date. They went to United! Moral to the story: not many guys are willing to wait for AA when United or Mother Delta come acallin'.

And I'd like to address the majority of PSA, Envoy, and Piedmont pilots who say "the flow's a nice thing to have in your back pocket, in case Delta, United, FedEx, UPS, etc. don't call." You're wrong!

Unless/Until AA changes their policy and allows hiring from their wholey-owned regionals OUTSIDE OF THE FLOW, there's no denying that the "flow" has effectively eliminated one of the "major" airlines that you can apply to!

If you join PSA, Envoy, or Piedmont TODAY,...... you have a pretty good chance of being at Delta or United in 5 years. But there's no way you're going to "flow" to American in 8 years of less because they're not hiring wholey-owned pilots outside of the flow. Just something to think about.

I know several Envoy pilots that have been hired at AA outside of the flow. Both CA and FOs

Anybody can be hired outside of the flow. The language in the agreement was changed over a year ago.

Nope, not the ones I know. In fact the one FO I know that has a father at AA got hired at delta, not AA.

AA just hasn't hired nearly as much as united and delta in the last couple years. That will change.

That must be the reason that sooo many PSA pilots have been hired at AA, outside of the flow!

Yes, that's sarcasm for those of you who don't immediately recognize it.

Zero PSA pilots have been hired by AA, outside of the flow since the inception of the "S.S.P" or "flow".

I have heard about exactly one PSA pilot getting an interview at AA in the last few months.
