I agree with PSAhelp regarding line holders. The problem, in my limited view, is that the quick progression from new hire to line holder (lack of enough pilots) has skewed the ratio of line holders/non line holders and there just aren't enough of the latter to cover the flying. I'm really hoping this present scenario doesn't cause the company to rethink the whole SAP thing since that is a wonderful perk and gives PSA an edge over similar regionals.

They won't/can't. The SAP is the best QOL tool in the regionals. It is better than anything else that anyone else can offer.

The company uses it as amarketing tool. Once we have enough pilots, there will be no need for them to want to do anything. Until then, we are not giving it up.

Hiring 50 a month will solve our FO issues. Upgrading 24 a month will prevent there from being a similar issue on the captain side.

They can't just "re-think" the SAP......They HAD TO HAVE this contract until 2023. Well, now they have it.

Glad they volunteered...
What does that mean? 225%, you wouldn't do it? You SHOULD be glad they volunteered unless you want them to start cancelling vacations.

Default Best domicile for commuting

Hello PSA peeps. Question...
Which domicile would be best for (October hire for seniority)commuting(and a long transcon commute)?
I'm guessing CLT will have late starts and earlier arrivals than the other domiciles. Or am I off on that? Do the outstation domiciles have late starts and earlier release times?
Will have to balance that consideration with how senior CLT is. Goal is to get off reserve asap but also have a domicile with commutability. CVG, DAY DCA and TYS would be two leg commutes too.
Thanks for any insight.

First, where are you commuting from?

If you can go one leg to IAD, it's roughly 90 minutes door to door IAD to DCA utilizing the Washington Flyer bus and the Metro. If DCA goes junior on the FO side it could be worth it to get R1.

Commuting from California. More non stops to CLT from SFO or LAX as compared to IAD. Do the smaller domiciles offer commutable trips? My experience has been out stations usually have early starts and late finishes.
Thanks for the reply
