With his attitude and arrogance, I'm sure he will do well at AA,fit right in .
He is touting the flow but doesn't tell anyone they can apply outside of it. It's slowly trickling down the pipeline that AA is now interviewing PSA pilots outside of the flow. He got caught in DFW and that's how people are finding out. Scum of the earth.

It is insulting to Cervine-Americans.

Pay for deadheads?

Pay for training?

Pay for holidays?

Pay for reserve? (EXAMPLE: Say I sit reserve for 3 days in a row. Do I get paid for any of those days? If not, how does it fall under min monthly guarantee? Is each day counted as a certain number of hours?)

Cancellation Pay?: I haven't gotten a good answer on this at all. If I am scheduled for 80 hours in a month and several flights cancel, at the end of the month am I paid for those 80 hours scheduled or does it bleed off until I hit min guarantee of 75?

Pay for SAP?: (EXAMPLE: I get a bid of 80 hours but SAP down to 65. Do I get paid min guarantee of 75 or do I get paid 65? (assuming I fly all 65; reference question above about cancellation pay))

Thanks!! I hope these questions will be useful to everyone!
I will start with dead heads. You get 50% pay for a dhd, unless that is the only thing you do that day is dhd. Then it is 100%.

Training is 75 hours plus 24 hour per diem. But if there is a gap from ground school to sim, you do not get paid. And same from sim until IOE.

Holiday pay you do not get any extra pay.

Reserve you get paid I believe 3.75 hours a day that you are on reserve. Hot reserve you get paid per diem and 4 hours.

Cancellation pay is paid for what the leg was worth.

SAP pay is whatever you SAP to. So if you SAP to 65 hours, you only get paid 65 hours.

Min pay I do not remember. It has to do with what time your trip starts on day one and ends on the last day. But I am probably wrong about that one. I would have to look it up.

There is probably someone that could give much more detailed answers. I just touched on the basics.

I know I have answered all of these recently on here, so I will let someone else have a go at this.

Didn't you already interview at PSA, or am I confusing your username for someone elses? If so, I would have hoped that they explained all of this to you.

yes I did and they explained a large portion of these questions however I have noticed more and more people on this forum that are thinking about interviewing. I thought this would be a good rehack and prevent people from searching tons of pages for information that could be found in one post.

Default All in good time.

Being a LCA and a mentor, let me give you a little advice. If you are just starting training here at PSA, your time will be better spent preparing for indoc, systems and IPT. When you start IOE, I will take an afternoon to spend time in FLICA and in the company website. Discussions about SAP and payroll processes are silly when you need to be concerning yourself with limitations and memory items. Placing the cart before the horse will only delay you getting to the point where you actually use FLICA. If you are on property and would like to discuss this issues, contact me directly through more appropriate measures.
Respectfully, Michael 39%

I have to say that I respectfully disagree with this comment. Since APC isnt a good forum to quiz each other on systems, IPT, etc, etc it only stands to reason that people will ask questions about functionality of company systems (FLICA, SAP, pay) and general knowledge. If that isnt the case, then what good is this forum?

This has been a GREAT thread to pass along knowledge of the company and familiarize people with the inner workings of PSA and how it is to work there. Sometimes at the interview, things are flowing so fast that some questions are missed and some information isnt retained. Being able to ask it here is a great help to some.

Take a look around the forums. This PSA thread has been very helpful and there has been very little complaining (unlike other threads).

I hope we can continue to make this an informative thread and help people along their process with applying, interviewing, getting hired and flying for PSA.

Yeah that's it. Tell the LCA he is wrong. Oh and make sure you do that during IOE, if you make it that far.
