AA is obviously wanting to hold pilots in place due to the looming recession and lessons learned from Covid. Early retirements and training backlogs have left companies in a precarious position to hurry up and wait versus the age old hire till you furlough. Pilots have the upper hand and have no reason to be out flanked at the table. We’re at a point in time where we can fill the baskets and watch the storm from the porch.

I sense the sarcasm!! it is sad the group is as divided as it is, So SAP may not be as good as once was but with the agreement now in place. If you combine a small increase in flow along with pay rates now the pilots will walk off that hill of SAP. Old Keith can finally take a deep breath and the top 25% of the seniority list will be happy. Less than two years from now it all crashes and reverts back a decade.

NOT voting it YES does not seal the fate of PSA closure. PSA is not too expensive to exist. A mass exodus after is the threat.
If PSA pilots were able to show that the attrition was not slowed much at PDT and Envoy due to this agreement you would have some strong leverage.
Once you look past the arbitrary pay amount you will see an agreement loaded with threats to the pilot groups.

Regardless if the pilots budge or not the market will always determine pilot salaries. Envoy and PDT ratified an extension to their contract for almost 7 years. Effectively locking the pilots out to collective bargaining and in the mean time and they did it without a pilot vote. PSA is in a fair position because the pilots can have a voice on this.
NOT voting it YES does not seal the fate of PSA closure. PSA is not too expensive to exist. A mass exodus after is the threat.

I'm sure there's some kind of legal loophole that will be exploited to get this through, including going to PBS, without a pilot vote.
I'm seeing this whole thing for what it is... more bonus money being thrown at us, but spread out over a period of time to look like a bump in our hourly rate. I'll gladly take it though... year 20 pay for me if I don't flow by the end of the year... I'll use it to double up, maybe even triple up my house payments to get it paid off quicker, leaving myself in a much better position for the prospect of either the music stopping, or PSA going tits up.

So if I could wave a magic wand and you give you a choice, flow to AA this week or stay at PSA for 2 more years with the high pay, which would you choose? Is the money enough to keep people around? How many will stay vs how many see the seniority number somewhere else as more valuable?
I'm pretty senior at PSA, I enjoy a great quality of life as far as schedule goes, I don't have an ego that tells me that I have to fly the next biggest jet, and this new deal will have me living quite comfortably.
