"Fleet Update: Envoy to operate CRJ-700s longer than planned
February 25th, 2016
Dear Envoy team –

Today, I’m pleased to provide an update to our fleet plan that will increase the number of aircraft operated by Envoy this year.

Bombardier CRJ-700 (CR7) Aircraft

While the ultimate goal is still to have Envoy become an all-Embraer operator, American has advised us that the transfer of CR7 aircraft from Envoy to PSA has been deferred, and we can expect to continue operating all 35 of our existing CR7 aircraft through the end of 2016.

I’m delighted to see all of the positive momentum at Envoy this year and appreciate all of your efforts that make it possible. Our operational performance in recent months has been outstanding and we have much to look forward to in the coming months.

Please continue to work safely, have fun and look out for each other and our passengers.

Thank you,
xxxx-xxx"
So basically, they're still coming, just not as soon as planned. Makes sense since we will be in full blown crisis mode come winter 2016 unless we can staff.

I'll take a wild guess and speculate that the 700's we have from envoy will go back to them once the poo hits the fans here depending on their staffing levels too.

That seems a remote possibility... But still possible I suppose.

Our staffing isnt going to be much better come summer - not saying yours will either.

They've already sent our 145s to other carriers when we were unable to staff them so it would not be a stretch to put the CRJ700s at another carrier who can staff them.

It's just a speculation. Things are so dynamic that it seems they'll do anything to staff the planes whether it be flip flopping them back and forth. Like shared custody. Lol. We are the step father of the envoy 700's and envoy is, well the father.

sounds more like a delay until AAG reaches a deal with Air Wisconson or Skywest to take the remainder of the 700s to free up Envoy for more E175s.

That's kind of what I was thinking... Just because they aren't coming to PSA as scheduled, doesn't mean that AAG won't send them to another carrier altogether. Although I'd wager they would probably prefer to keep them in house... Then again, they may make a good bargaining chip.

Actually in our email we have been told that the end fleet plan still remains unchanged. While this may change much further down the road, in the mean time it puts out the rumors of the 700s and 200s going else where. But you are all still welcome to continue making up stuff as you will no matter what.

Ask any envoy pilot, they don't exactly need to be freed up. They have plenty of pilots and low time schedules to be able to take on much more flying.

Why would AAG do that? PSA is the lowest cost carrier, that's the reason we got the -700's in the first place. The plan remains the same just giving us some much needed breathing room.

The discussion PSA had with AAG about the deferred transfer would have been better had they discussed removal of the PSA CEO and management. They are the sole cause of staffing issues and everything else PSA is having trouble with right now.
