I did read it. And I'm saying most not all are ready at 1000. As long as you come in knowing you're going to upgrade at mins and preparing as such, you'll have no problem upgrading at 1000 SIC.

It really depends, especially in winter with the higher Pax weights. Your odds are definitely better if the wx is good, children are on the flight, and/or a lighter bag count. Hope that helps some, good luck!

Seems PDT is changing quite a bit. Someone just coming in with more than the 1000 SIC, what would the upgrade outlook be? Preferably upgrading in a base that is easily commutable from CLT. Also, what are the details of the flow? I realize it is all dependent on hiring, etc. But, what are the details of number of pilots per month? This question will spark plenty of options, as I know it is a variable, but how long would a person being hired today be around before getting their flow?
The contract says base of 3 per month per year AA hires, and an additional 1 per month for every 125 pilots over the baseline of 350 pilots.
To answer your upgrade question, if you have 1000 hours 121 coming in, you will be in upgrade before you're off FO reserve.

The flying the easy part, I worry a little about taxiing, esp. PHKL and CLT. The release isn't that different from an AF IM package. The biggest worry I have is will I know the right seat stuff well enough to be able to monitor a total noob FO from the left seat. I am waiting to see how junior the jet goes, I would prefer that to the dash.

Not sure if it works the same for you guys but at PSA we still have to use "US" as the two letter code followed by the American employee number. Hope that helps
