Anything New At AWAC?
#552
Based on the people I know jumping ship to psa/pdt the number is actually quite small. Most are training failures, some are wayywAyy junior and moving for base/Qol movement. The "chasing quick upgrade" crowd isn't strong among Awac pilots, flying the dirt Nasty 200's for more money than others is enough to keep a smile on our faces.
For some reason air Wisconsin likes hiring military pilots that are more than qualified to fly at majors, which as soon as they are current and check the 121 box they are gone. We had close to 10 leave to dal, swa, ual last month all military within the first year of employment.

Please spare us the patronizing pat on the back "AWAC is a great airline and we're all in this together BS" prefacing of your remarks before repeatedly advancing the flawed argument that we should all make a lateral move and dump all of our seniority and top pay, benefits and QOL.
Just stick to your guns with your original argument and try to defend it straight up...don't try to garner favor with us when you first posited that the only way we could save ourselves was to go to PDT or PSA.
As was said a few posts ago...we don't mind the old airplanes since the view outside is the same...but the view of our paychecks is much better. There may be a few careerists at AWAC but most of us do want to advance...but leaving lateral right now would be advancing backwards...no matter how few years are left on the current contract.

You seem to have way too much time on your hands to come on here spouting off at the mouth how we are going to be replaced in 2018. Did Doug Parker himself tell you this? Did the owners of Air Wisconsin tell you this? You seem to come on here like you're so well informed of the future of Air Wisconsin. I'm sure you and your friends over at Piedmont are going gaga over the fact you'll finally get jets and Air Wisconsin will be going away.
Meanwhile, look at the other express carriers and see who can staff their planes. At Air Wisconsin we don't have staffing issues or have problems filling classes. In fact, It always seems Air Wisconsin gets to do extra flying that the others can't do for the reason of lack of crews. As for our future, nobody has a crystal ball. So, I'm not sure how you come on here acting like you're so informed of what's going to happen.
Meanwhile, we have many who are also here for the long haul. I may not have any respect for our management because of the way they treated certain pilots who I respect and regard them as good friends. But I'm like a hornet. They don't bother me and I don't bother them. I come in and do my job, and they pay me and pay me well to fly those old beat up filthy 50 seat airplanes.
Sure they break. If it flies, it'll break.
So please do us all a favor and get your facts straight before coming on a message board gloating how you think we are going to disappear in February of 2018.
Even with street CAs at PSA, I don't see any of our junior guys running for the doors to go over there. And nobody is drooling at an instant upgrade at PDT on those 145's.
