Quote: It's an open invitation to interview if u have t prop exp, or 121, or 34 seat plus a/c. Description says job is for the 200 on the second line....
Doesn't mention the 200 at all in the job description. It's in the company description which hasn't changed in years.

This posting is suspiciously detailed while referencing the FL and Bahamas experience. In these times of struggle to hire people with enough hours to fly 121, why limit your candidate pool?

It's not a stretch to suggest it's a little interesting they tweaked their recruiting posts after the TA was announced.

Very strange. Literally an hour ago in pulled into the gate at CLT and a MX had said something about if we were gonna be heading to the Bahamas. Both myself and CA had zero clue *** he was talking about. We figured he was just joking around or something. Low and behold I come here and see this.

This is definitely strange. Also the interview is in Tampa. In the past, when AWAC does open interviews, they are in DC/PHL.

Something appears to be up. I don't get what though. I can't imagine we would buy/or start flying props. Gonna get interesting around here.

I think we are overthinking this. probably just a job description that meets the regional qualifications of pilots in the area since for some odd reason they are interviewing in Tampa. Not uncommon, other airlines do this too, look at Skywest, they interview pretty much coast to coast on the road as well as at their hq.

What doesn't make sense in my meager pilot brain is they don't advertise any more requirements than 1500TTL and an ATP to fly the CRJ2. You do not need turboprop experience to fly the 200. I still think this is a little odd. Add in the fact that ALPA suggested numerous time that the company came to them rather abruptly looking for a deal in the weeks leading up to the TA and it's justifiable to think something is in the works.

I agree. Also why specifically talk about having Bahama experience and FL when we don't fly to the islands and, virtually, outside of a couple DCA turns do nothing in FL.

Just to further add to the conspiracy. We are adding 10-7 pages for KVQQ airport in Jacksonville FL. All that's listed on the page is of a hangar named "Associated Painters"

There is no Scheduled 121 operations for us airways express flying into this airport. Perhaps a MX base? Like hot springs/RFD etc.

It's an aircraft refinishing shop just a hunch but maybe they're going to refinish/refurbish their aircraft as they transition to American paint...

No conspiracy with this one. It's paint.

Stand corrected. Let's get the next rumor wave rolling.
Awac buys Silver in a hostile take over to acquire the rights to the 3 1983 ford f150s they use for tugs.
