But for real don't they need to open up those base positions before they can award them to new hires?

Don't forget the $250 a pay period for spousal usage on that credit card.

Did you file a grievance? Not trying to be sarcastic at all...It takes about as much time as posting on this site and is the only way to hold the company accountable for infringing on the contract. Any and all misrepresentations or discrepancies need to be documented and adjudicated! . The tiny thing you decide to grieve may be a great benefit to the entire pilot group.

As for the other current topic: you can bundle the $30,000, Hotel for training and a rental car for a 1% savings. And they'll wave the processing fee if you use PayPal or bit coin. LOL ; )

Heard they interviewed in the 3rd party training center today . after the "poke the bear" commentary crisis mgmt kicked all pilots out. They no longer want them in the HQ because recruits see how disgusting and disfunctional the CPO is like I saw when I was there recently. The CP and his cronies run the interviews and I heard they asked if they would be willing to strike if hired !! Illegal ! We have traitors from the line supporting this process . The pilot recruiter with the "alternative lifestyle" they have is epically far up the CPO's a** and dosent know sh*t about the company or the job. COO and his car, CPO and it's sexual deviance, Inflight and their social experiments. I really question my decision sometimes ! When do we finally take a stand against this crap ??

Settle down, Beavis. Lots of conjecture for your first post.

First, who cares where they interview? Second, you "heard" they ask about striking? Did it come directly from somebody that was asked that question in an interview? I doubt it. Third, the "cronies" are trying to hire the best people they can find that are willing to do the job. I'm pretty sure the intierciewers are line pilots that want to help ensure we at least get to work with good people. Lastly, we are taking a stand. 100% approval and a group that knows the best way to stand up is go to work, do your job and trust in the NC and the process.

Talk about being eaten by your own ! I was making an observation based on both what I have heard and what I have seen during my time. I don't need to be attacked ! I am not and I find it offensive that I'm on the same team and I am being insulted by my colleagues . I don't work for the HQ or management or recruiting , I want what most on here want . Obviously a new 'ish guy isn't entitled to his opinion or given any credence on this forum . Yes I'm opinioned just like all you all are . Lesson learned.

Here is the thing as you have probably realized by now. We are following our MEC guidance and doing our jobs without giving management any ammo that can be used against us. It is frustrating and we all get it, but we need to keep going the course and refrain from putting comments like this.

A lot of the responses to your post are "backhanded" compliments in a way. Phoenix is absolutely right and please take his advice to heart. Posts from this forum and others have put TROs on Spirit and UAL in the past. This is playing into the company's hands because it gives them extra time the pilots have to work under your current contract. They have bean counters that know exactly - down to the cent per day that F9 pilots cost to fly the schedule. ANYTHING that prolongs that "discount" is money in their pocket.
Do NOT be silent - make your thoughts known to your reps at LEC meetings or shoot them an email/better yet call them. But to put them here only invites management to take advantage of your emotions and convert them into bucks in their pocket.
I imagine this is your first real Section 6 and the learning curve is steep.
Keep your powder dry - let the MEC (NC) speak for you and fly your schedule. Until the NMB has released you into the cooling off period there is nothing else you can do. Find an effective and healthy outlet for the built up stress and it will help immensely.

In unity from a fellow ALPA pilot.....
