Quote: The Compass contract ends in 2020. Three years from now might as well be dog years in the airline world. It's pointless to speculate that far in the future imo.
Anybody have a verifiable source for details of the Compass contract? I have consistently heard both 2018 AND 2020. I’m curious if it has to do with the phase in of the aircraft. I’m sure they didn’t just have all 20 show up at one time. Is it possible the aircraft would have individual termination dates based on when they were delivered? Possibly spreading the “end of the contract” between sometime in 2018 and 2020?

As far as Envoy getting more options instead of the Compass planes, there was to be two new planes in November and two in December. I haven’t heard that any new ones have been delivered lately. Has anyone heard anything? I would think it would be big news, especially with ORD to open soon.

Compass contract goes through January 2020 per a personal face to face with members of management awhile back. Compass signed a 5 year deal with AA. They began flying for AA beginning of 2015. And yes, 2 of the options have been delivered to Envoy and 2 more are coming this month. There are 10 more options that have been announced but we will not see those deliveries begin until late 2018.

I see what you did there

Ok so let's say hypothetically CRJs are gone in 2018. That means a ton of problems for the training department. But it also means the forced upgrades could get out of the CA seat and back to FO.

So I got a pre-assigned 4am rap. I proffered for everything but it to try to get out of it. A guy beneath me in seniority who did not have a any pre-assigned rap got the 10 rap (which I proffered for). Both of us have had the last 3 days off, so we are both legal for any time. I called CS to try to understand why this was. They said they didn't know but would look into it. I have been able to get out of a pre-assgined rap before. Anyone had this happen before? Thanks.
