Been here a little over a year & I can say with confidence that I made the right choice. To the nay sayers, are you saying things are better at Republic, Mesa or PSA?

Ever thought your sourness is contributing to that? Telling someone to quit so you can take their spot is extrememly poor form. Be careful Captians can and will fill out evaluations without your knowledge.

Did you happen to see what Check Complete posted to which I began responding to? I announce to the world I like my job and current position, and that I believe SkyWest is a good place to come, and I am being labeled as Mr. Negative?

All I was referring to was the you should quit comment that's it. I've worked with sour people it is what it is and it didn't ruin my day or affect safety in any matter. My only concern right now is how I'm going to get paid when I time out.

Ahh, my bad. As previously posted I have enjoyed working with everyone so far here, but I have flown with people in the past that made life more difficult than need be because of attitude. And I have been listening in on those Monday conference calls because as you stated being paid is kind of important, we are on the same team .... But my point was If one hates their position/company enough to tell others to keep away when the majority are greatful for their position/company shouldn't the minority consider making personal changes to make themselves happy instead of making those around them miserable?

While I agree that if you're not happy with work you should look for something else it's a lot easier said than done. I'm pretty nervous about what I'm going to do for pay when I time out.

I would very much like to know the result of that. Seems to me that a guaranteed min is a guaranteed min. Timing out due to restrictive regs or to working extra shifts definitely should not affect that, in my humble opinion and assuming that my understanding of the issue is correct.

I agree I think min guarantee should be paid regardless, but according to an FO on the internal forums he was not paid min guarantee and used some vacation time to bring up his monthly pay. I'm sure we'll here about this more once we start seeing it happen more regularly. For now the only option Sapa had for us was to bid reserve to help mitigate it, but I sure as heck don't want to be on reserve again.

I have been at SkyWest well over 15 years.

When I see 40 year and 30 year employees getting terminated, I get ****ed. I've seen lots of changes here, this isn't what it used to be , and really, it shouldn't be. But it doesn't need to cut the core of this institution, which is what is happening. I don't recognize this place anymore. If I were in a position to choose I'd take someplace with a better upgrade schedule.

My point is this isn't the SkyWest of yesterday, and people should know.........
