FYI latest CRJ upgrade at 2yrs 2months.

That's still 1500 numbers off the bottom of the list though.

Just went through interview and was told the same thing regarding upgrade time; 2-2.5 years. Took DTW as base, told I'd basically go from training to an airplane with little or no reserve wait. And before you tell me, I get that the recruiters are drinking the cool-aid. But I seriously doubt their going to say 2.5 years and it really be 4.

They're telling you that Gus hired 2.5 years ago are upgrading. That has zero bearing as to how long itll be for you. Trust me.

Well the truth is, they actually have no idea. Current upgrade has little to no bearing on future upgrade. The reality is they are likely not far off. I would guess a new hire today would have the opportunity to upgrade in under 2 years. You have to remember though, if any major catastrophe happens, they could soar back to 6 to 8 years in a heartbeat. The other side to that is if things hit the fan, Skywest is not a bad place to be stuck for awhile.

And Gus deserves it. He's a stellar pilot.

I don't think the awards are done yet...right now it's showing virtually all CRJ upgrades/transitions/transfers and almost no ERJ guys.

You're right though, latest CRJ upgrade is 2 years, 2 months. Amazing...

Awards are not even close to being done... More CRJ captain will get awarded as they back fill from the guys going to the ERJ

Hey guys, thinking about joining Skywest, I have a SIC ERJ 145 type rating, would that qualify me for the $7500 bonus? or does it need to be a PIC type?
