Skywest v2.0

You can walk to SAN in 15 minutes, but on regional pay you'd have to rent or maybe buy a condo. But even driving in traffic you can get there within an hour from affordable (relatively speaking) burbs.

When did you live there? It's gotten quite a bit worse over the last several years... Though a motorcycle would definitely help.

I was there around 3 years ago. I'm native from the D.C. area where the traffic is literally soul crushing. And that isn't hyperbole, after so many hours stopped on the highway you begin to think "Is this really what life is all about?".
But, this is a Skywest thread! I'm not sure about Idaho, but San Diego seems like a fantastic area due to the weather and convenience when it comes to getting to said base.
Since this is about Skywest and not motorcycles, let's get back to company talk. How does this announcement affect CRJ vs. ERJ in terms of new hires? I've been lurking for a while now and recently it seems like the company is trying to get people in on the CRJ side and that the ERJ is hard to get at the moment. Will this announcement mean that ERJ will be a possibility for new hires?

Can anyone who has been to training in SLC somewhat recently tell me what hotel they're putting people up in these days?
