Is there anyone to get in touch with a Spirit to help reset ones account for an application? Can't login for anything and I tried the password reset - which didn't work either.

Thanks!

Default Food for thinking

From one of the union Q& A's: Q6. Regarding Section E.5., how is this home training not considered a type of duty under FAR 117? A6. Currently, the FAA's position is that training is limited only by due date may be done voluntarily at a time of the pilots choosing. This avoids the need to track as duty under the FAR's. However, pilots should NOT PERFORM THE TRAINING SO AS TO COMPROMISE FITNESS FOR DUTY!

You can bet your extra two hours on this , if you do two days of DL on day one and two, then run off end at LGA on day seven after working seven days straight, the FAA WILL conclude that your DL compromised your fitness for duty. Will your NC come running to your rescue in the same way they want us to come running to theirs?

What if you log on and pull an "all nighter" in the hotel to get your DL finished before the day you have an incident? If you think that Bendo wont use the "spirit has the right to look at your partition" words to determine if you were on your ipad, you're more simple than me.

Leaving the flight case at home isnt adequate compensation for what they want.

Dont say you weren't warned!

Yeah, sorry Joey, but I disagree with the "the company needs to raise it". They don't have to raise it. There will always be regional FOs wanting to come here, and it fills the seats for the company.

I'm going to want competent FOs flying with me in 5 years and I'm more than willing to make sure we do what we can to attract quality, the best we can. Because the company will just continue to promise fast upgrades and pull Riddle kids way before raising the pay on their own.

"But why the Crew Advanced the Trottes to TOGA Position after a EGT and N2 exceedance? They wanted to kill the Engine like this?"

Incident: Spirit A319 at Dallas on Oct 15th 2013, contained engine failure

This looks bad for the crew. It may get ugly.

What do you do when you have an engine problem on takeoff? Verify TOGA? What did you learn when you have engine problem and you were getting your multi engine rating? Firewall it right?

When I have problems at altitude I like to stare at the problem for 10 sec before touching anything. Who knows though what anyone would have done in this situation. I can certainly see toga as in the realm of possibilities.

Safe landing with a fire in weather with no damage except the engine and no lives lost. BRAVO!!!

Forget what any anonomous poster on the comment section thinks.

Have you seen the ECAM printout for this event?

Crew got the plane safely on the ground and no one was hurt. Better question is why a plane was flying around with "stress corrosion cracking?" Im not a A&P, but that sounds like something that should be inspected routinely.

At least they didn't shut down the wrong one and dump it in a river. Then they would be called heroes?
Kudos to the crew on this one.

Thats a good point. Im sure if you asked that ATR crew if they would ever shut down the wrong engine they would reply "Heck no" (or something like that in their language).

Good job to the crew. MX, hmmmm, still want to see what the report says about that
