Umm- reality check??

I'm not on any side but the side of the ENTIRE PILOT GROUP.... But- some of you want to can the current negotiators?? Why?

Because they were unable to force the company to give what we wanted before the amendable date? Since the impossible didn't happen, you blame the NC? really.... They don't have the "Jedi mind trick" on their side- there is a reason it's called "negotiations..." rather than Christmas....

Stay the course, remain cautiously optimistic, and apply a little reality to the process....

We need a group ALL pilots can get behind. They were tolerated because the process had unofficially started. The current Mec/Lec needs to go as well, for the good of all sides.

A protracted negotiation will be much worse with a crew in there that has created such a large division.

Current JB rates immediately would be a huge pay increase for me. Somewhere along the lines of 30%. I am not senior like you.

JB rates are not even industry average. Please keep thoughts like this to yourself and don't post this on a public forum. You are a hindrance to the rest of the pilot group wanting to make this a legitimate career destination.

Seriously! That fukcing guy has got to be posting some serious flame bait. Otherwise he's just an idiot. JetBlue (also negotiating right now) rates don't make sense for any longevity. Yes let's lock into below industry average for another 8 years.

Makes you wonder what the survey results actually say... Do we disagree over $46m and our NC is only pushing for pay parity with JB!?

Hey I understand JB pay would be a big bump for us, but you have to remember that the company makes more money per pilot than any other company does. If pilots were paid on a profit margin basis we would be leading the industry in pay. We should at least be in the ballpark and JB rates are quite a bit below the average. Hopefully they get a good contract.

I wish the NC would just be able to say exactly what we are asking for and exactly what the company wants. $46m doesn't seem that far off considering it is over the whole 5 year deal if you factor in all the hiring we are doing.

I said current JB at signing. Then an annual increase that would get us to parity. I agree.

JetBlue? JetBlue pay rates? Am I hearing that right? Nothing against our JB brethren, but we deserve better than that. Our company is printing money, literally printing it. We're working daily to increase the amazing bottom line and JB pay is what some are considering. Forget that. Might as well ask Nick Saban to accept Georgia State head football coach pay.

I would love to hear what you guys think your going to get. If we have it your way then it will be five years before you get a contract. Then you will be wishing you had JB plus an annual increase. I bet you I come out ahead in pay in fives years. By time you get a contract, I would be negotiating the next one.
