I'm a reservist with a CP LOR...hearing crickets.
Got hired last year. Had all my AFRES stuff on resume and currently active with reserve on Airlineapps. They made no differentiation. There are tons of us at UAL. Honestly don't think they see them differently. It is incumbent on us though not to screw it up for future ANG AFRES folks, by doing our best to stay current and qualified as much as possible. I give them plenty if notice when I have orders, and plan longer sets of orders(30-60 days) around currency at UAL

Astute observation! Much like the last year where hiring was limited by the training pipeline, therein lies the problem. 737 is the Newhire plane for future, sprinkled with some buses. But, with massive displacements where snapshots show the overwhelming majority going to the left seat of the 737, there will not be enough training capacity to hire in those numbers, even with using MIA and other locations. Hope I'm wrong.

If anything, they'll more than 1300. Whether or not it happens is another question altogether.

Wish someone had told management they were going to have to ramp up training, all these retirements and new guppies came out of nowhere.

That's good news, thanks for that info. I just started with a reserve unit and was wondering about this issue.

I also appreciate your point about not screwing it up for those of us trying to get hired that are already in the reserves.

Thanks.

Does anyone have any idea/thoughts on how AirlineApps works when it comes to updating it? Meaning, if I have had things incorrect and/or missing and I go back and correct it, does it sort of recycle/re-shuffle the app in the mix? Or, if it was "pulled" at some point and showed up with incomplete info does it get discarded? If it was discarded, would I get a TBNT e-mail? I've only ever heard of people getting the TBNT e-mail when they fail the Hogan test.

The one thing I have had screwed up for months and didn't know it was, the question about whether you had any criminal background or not. I answered the question correctly as NO on the screen, but either I didn't hit save or it didn't take and I didn't realize it. What's frustrating is that when you go through you app on the input screens, it keeps the NO checked like you did answer it, but you have to check it on the Review My App section. Dumb on my part for not catching sooner, I know, but at the same time a little frustrating that it kept the NO checked on the input screen. Lesson learned.

This really is a guard/reserve friendly place to work. All notification done via website and have never had an issue.
