Evidently this $3B company can't make payroll either, at least a payroll system that doesn't $crew its crews over year after year. So easy to fix, makes perfect sense why the rest of the place is such a mess.

Well said, far too amateur.

Inexcusable.

Not insulting you Skyrider, sorry if it came across that way. If you re-read the post, you'll see I never compared you to the Flight Attendants, but MANAGEMENT will. It's likely that management plans to follow the same path that succeeded with the flight attendants and dispatchers. For the sake of the profession (and good friends still working there), we are counting on you guys proving them wrong.

Apologies for the confusion, best of luck.

Saw the question below you posted tonight on another thread. Are you looking to apply at Southwest? I wouldn't blame you, I applied there too but no degree, no type = no luck. Just curious how many new guys, even ones with positive experiences, are putting their apps out.

No need to apologize dawgdriver you do make some valid points and I really think that most of us new Allegiant pilots will support those who have struggled a long time to try and make this place worth retiring from.

I think it would be foolish to not keep options open, like I said earlier the Mx concerns are real. I feel like if the 80 issues don't improve then the Airbus will soon follow in a few years. Jobs at any major airline would be foolish not to accept for an Allegiant new hire. It's different if you have been here years and are invested in company. That being said, I treat this place as a career destination, otherwise you run the risk of not caring what happens here and that's not fair to the pilot group.

What's the running rumor as to why Steve Harfst has resigned? His tenure was a lot shorter than expected...

I think calling the regional guys "rookies" is pretty insulting. My class was 90% regional guys that had been at 2 or more, furloughed by one or another, stuck in the right seat for the lost decade. These are some of the saltiest 35 year olds around. They were at Republic for the never ending negotiations. These guys have been there and done that. Just because they are new to G4 doesn't mean they don't know what's going on.

Thank you!!
I fit into this category. Many of the more senior guys I've flown with that have the attitude regional guys are backpack wearing, frosted tip sporting pushovers were either never at the regionals or were there back in the hay days when guys upgraded in 6 months and were off to the majors in 2 or 3 years. There is a backlog of guys at the regionals that have been stuck there for quite some time. Expressjet has 9 year FO's right now. If 9 years in the right seat of an RJ won't make you ****ed off at the industry and management, I don't know what will.

The rumor on the line has already been stated on here.

I read it as a management tactic seeing regional pilots as rookies accustomed to entry-level abuse and more inclined to sign a concessionary contract. Faulty reasoning if true. Rookie was probably a metaphor and a poor choice of words. I don't think he or anyone else sees regional guys as rookies these days. Most G4 pilots come from regionals and if the company thinks the regional guys it hired are going to cave on a crappy TA, they're in for a nasty surprise. I believe the company hires regional pilots because they're highly qualified and available.
