The union guys also didn't answer the first part of the question, and that was
"Of the 7 things proposed by management that they want changed, could those be changed in arbitration if we go that route" (paraphrased)
It would certainly suck to go to arbitration and lose most of what we'd lose if we accept the deal. Management seems to really want to change those items, specifically. The 2 hour callout and overnight landing currency req'd would have very little monetary value.

Didn't hear that part, but I LIKE it. No 2-hour call out, no combined divisions, none of the rest. I'll take my 3% in 6 weeks and my big bump in 13 months and Parker can suck eggs.

Wasn't a big deal but some us us got called into the chief pilots office a number of times as well but some of us keep impeccable- impeccable, I say, records which is also what I would advise. Along with don't be stupid.

Or maybe the company doesn't give a crap and just want to see if the APA can be lead around on a leash. It could all be posturing for 2019.

Except for he did fire someone else- before that. The guy did get his job back and it was a joke in more ways than one that he was fired in the first place. Still Parker will throw his usual temper tantrum so people need to stop posting crazy sh*t as well.

As has happened elsewhere under similar circumstances, expect increased scrutiny of the operation by the Feds. It's not necessarily geared at the pilots, but they get the heebe geebe's during airline labor relation conflicts like this. Fly safe and according to APA, as per Parker, do your job.

You would be willing to pass up all that money just to keep from having a 2 hour call out and from having to go to the Sim at night once every 3 months? Your priorities are hosed up.

I haven't seen anyone here posting any advocation of illegal job activity. Cannot speak for other forums though.

That "money" isn't free, we're paying for it with concessions. No concessions in arbitration as it's cost-neutral. 13 months from now, we'll have perhaps 85% of Delta's pay and MORE then United's and no concessions, only cost neutral adjustments to work rules to comply with the MOU.
The best deal might be to just leave everything alone and in 13 months we'll make more than UAL, but less then Delta. Doug is then free to run his airline.
