Amen. They're ready for the long game. How patient are we? I'll wait. Will we all?

^^^^ this . These rates are insulting even if the other items were not up for discussion. Doug and Co aren't giving Delta + out of their hearts..they are doing it because they know if agreed to that they would be at a huge cost advantage very soon as the other legacies bump their contracts.

Gold is gold. You can shape it, but its still gold.
Pilots are everywhere. They don't look alike, they don't ACT alike, their MOTIVATION for things are generally NOT in the best interests of the GROUP.
You really don't need to their combination to overcome the pilots. They only have themselves to blame.

Pilots are their own worst enemies. We tend to over estimate our career and value while underestimating and undercutting our fellow pilots. We look out after ourselves, so when we are in an association, we don't do well.
The AA pilots signed on to this MOU. They agreed to the cost neutral arbitration. Now they are shocked at Paker/Kirby/Glass? Why? They have shown over and over how they operate. Did the APA even talk to any east or west US pilots? It seemed to me that the attitude was "You guys are so screwed up, we've got this."
