Just FYI, Atlas is parking one Sonair plane and is rumored to want the second for VIP charters. Also Atlas is bringing on another 767 pax plane, so no net loss of pax planes. So, 3 74 pax and 6 76 pax planes.

Word from the people doing the interviewing is more apps with big airplane international experience are in the pile.
Well I guess I'm a little fish in a big fish pond. Hoping for the best!

Do the Great Lakes pilots get any preferential interviews since that airline shutdown? I heard Omni had a hiring path relationship with them.

I’ve only heard about the hiring relationship with Ameriflight.

I thought the 2 "gold" SonAir planes were owned BY Sonair.....NOT Atlas.

Last I heard there is a preferential process with the lakes pilots.
Whether it’s a formal thing or not anymore, I don’t know.

FWIW, I was recently told Atlas may be acquiring one or both somehow relatively cheap

Yes, but SonAir owes Atlas so much money that we are accepting at least one of the airplanes as part of the payment.

Can anyone give some insight on flight benefits? All I can find is that the benefits kick in one year after employment. Just curious on the details of that if anyone can share it’ll be great! Thanks!

Here's how useful it is... most of us don't even know/use/understand it. The mere fact that we have it is a miracle in and of itself since charter airlines very rarely have a benefit they are basically unable to reciprocate.

The basics of it are that you get ID90 type (I don't believe it's actual ID90s) travel after one year of employment for yourself and immediate family. It is on a space-a basis and you need to book it roughly one week out. I tried using it once and immediately realized I was better off booking same day using the miles I accrued from travel with Omni and flying for free+taxes.
