If and it's a big IF. The 2 to 3 year upgrade at Omni is only possible with attrition. Looking at economic indicators, I do not see any growth in the supplemental sector that would bring an increase in aircraft numbers at Omni. Omni doesn't bid on money losing programs that Swift and Dynamic usually do. Even Atlas is getting out of the passenger programs. Delta Vacations is flooding the market with available airplanes, usually letting older frames fly a few years longer in the supplemental market instead of parking them in the desert. It's better to not use your airplanes everyday if you don't need to and Omni does know the market it serves. Unless narrow body types are added I think a reduction in fleet numbers might happen at Omni. No furlough, but "Slow and controlled growth"

Hard to say with the new CBA. I think the CA's leaving will slow because the carrot got bigger, and the FO's leaving will stay consistent with the Big 5 hiring needs. a few will look at Spirit and Jet Blue hoping for a buyout as their Legacy ticket. 1 or 2 to the Kalitta's and Atlas's might happen, but it's hard to say. Word from the people doing the interviewing is more apps with big airplane international experience are in the pile.

I thought the 2 "gold" SonAir planes were owned BY Sonair.....NOT Atlas.

[QUOTE=CRJ700Master;2563257]Do the Great Lakes pilots get any preferential interviews since that airline shutdown? I heard Omni had a hiring path relationship with them.[/QUOTE
Last I heard there is a preferential process with the lakes pilots.
Whether it’s a formal thing or not anymore, I don’t know.
